Sims 1 cd not install
So basicly I have a sims 1 cd and it's very old but still works and can be read. But I have a win 10. And my problem has no solution online. My problem is when I open setup.exe it opens. Thats fine. I click English. And then I click install. But what happens. It just lags a bit. And when it responds again. It basicly does nothing. I cant install it why??? No one else has trouble installing it but me. I cant even play the demo mode. I need a fucking solution. PLEASE!!! What should I do to make sure it works. Do I need something to run it. Like an old directx or cc???? something like directx 2005 or something. or something from 2000.

You'll most likely have to manually navigate to the CD and run setup.exe in compatability mode.

I have Sims 1 installed on Win 10 with no problems, but I have the complete collection.

Lots of web pages about this problem:

Well. I've finished that problem. But now I have another problem. Now when I reach the loading screen it is black but the text shows up. And then when the mouse shows. The game exits without an error message. And when I start the game it has an error saying "Set locale changed to NULL" and then I close the error and the game starts. Then theres no intro? Then it loads. And then yeah?

Set Locale- that sounds like there is no language preference set. You'd have to check this in the registry- the key is as follows:
hkey_local+machine\software\wow6432node\maxis\the sims
You'd need to see if there is a value specified for language.

Could you also let us know how you solved your other problem? Might help some other people sometime!
