My house... it belongs to a crazy, childish 25 year old inventor whose favorite colors are present in every single room of the house. She lives there with her little brother (who is a genius and likes to read a lot) since her parents died in a car crash...
I did not use any piece of Custom Content on this lot!

Little Mansion
Here it is, a 3-story detached house, that has recently been renewed to host up to 4 people. The real peculiarity it's the beautiful back-garden, with a gazebo and a patio for a hot-day BBQ. Here you are the images:
Street View
Floors images from above
Master Bedroom
Kitchen
Living/Dining Room
Garden View
Detail of the front with the covered entrance
Detail of the garden with the house seen from the gazebo
No CC used!
p.s. hope I'm still in time! :D
p.p.s. I'm Italian, so forgive my bad English
p.p.p.s. I had some troubles with the game, so most of the house is unfurnished. I had completely finished it, but, when I was about to save, I lost everything. I'm sorry
p.p.p.p.s. I don't know why my ceilings appear all black when in Camera mode, any guesses? I'll post my question in the right section later
That's it! Thanks! :D

I posted a house right after (about forty minutes) that it was said there were 13 spots left and I didn't get on the list.... Reasons? I used the correct foundation required.

Foundation House #1!!!
This is my first ever upload, let alone joining a competition, so who knows how this'll turn out... basically, I've made it look like most of my other houses I make, but to fit the template! I'll let the pictures explain, cuz I'm no good at it =]Street View
Foundation
Ground Floor
First Floor
Kitchen
Bedroom
Living Room
Dining Room
Garden
Rear View
Right... I realised after I made the entire house and took the screenshots that I had a bay window that I wasn't allowed, but I needed it there so... its worth losing points for!
Obviously no CC used, and as far as I'm aware I didn't even use store stuff just to make sure!
Furnished - 80,947
Unfurnished - 155,575
I'll put the link to download up if/when it gets accepted
Sorted =]

Dancelver, I could be wrong but I think there's only half an hour left so you'd be cutting it really fine to finish on time.
If you just want to upload images you can find tutorials here: http://www.modthesims.info/forumdisplay.php?f=581

Simlicious, where did you get that cupcake thing sitting on the table from and the moon thing on the wall in the master bedroom? i must have it
Dancelver, you upload your pictures to a website and use [img] to have them in your post. Its mentioned on the first page of this thread You do not need to actually upload the house but to upload it anyway you go to the toolbar at the top of the page and under "Create" there is a "upload item" button. Follow the instuctions in there

dietdrpepperfan - I'd just missed it by accident in all the scrolling. You're on the list now.
Contestant list updated!
You have approximately 20 minutes remaining!
Also, regarding when judging will start...
Because I have to do a spreadsheet and stuff for it with neat little links, we won't be starting judging right as soon as everything closes. So if you still want to edit your entry that you've already submitted, you still have some time to do so. Please get any edits done within the next 12 hours-ish. After that, this thread will be locked for judging.
Scores will be posted as soon as I get them back and calculated.
Round 2...
I will post up the foundation for round 2 tomorrow, in a new thread. You'll be able to begin posting round 2 houses immediately - but the deadline for round 2 will be as it was planned before - for Thursday, the 29th. This gives a bit of extra time for everyone to work on their lots - which should be a relaxing change from the rush to get in on Round 1.

Just in time, yes? I hope so.
This is Sky View House. It is a contemporary home which would be suitable for a loving couple. Due to building restrictions, they would however have to move out if they wished to expand in order to raise a child. Featuring a calming, blue colour pallet throughout the interior any Sim would find it difficult to lose their cool here. There is also a large, spacious garden out to the back of the property featuring a heated swimming pool and paved area suitable for social gatherings.

Second Floor Plan

Living Room Entrance

Garden
I have used no custom content in the lot, only Store items and EP items.
I would have liked to have shown the bathroom but it was too small to actually show it all in the camera. How do you guys get that fish-eye lense type effect anyway?

Well I think I'll need a holiday some place like this after this round of the competition. After two crashes, having to rebuild entirely, having the flu and realising there were millions of people entering... here it is! A little slice of heaven whether your live in suburbia, by the beach or somewhere exotic. You can be sure your home life will always be fabulous and relaxing! The styles are a little mish-mashed but I think it works. The idea was bringing indoors and outdoors together, so you can enjoy that Carribean resort-style garden from anywhere in the house.

No one will probably notice but this picture is slightly different, I went back to revamp the roof garden to make it more lush, added two small fountains and a place to sit and think, so the time of day was slightly different and I added some different things to the landscape...
Three additional images!
Features Barbecue area, small rock garden and breezy sun shelter/tent thing.
I don't know why the ceiling goes black in free camera mode, it's supposed to be a white ceiling.
I wasn't sure if one of the additional images was allowed to be a collage... I used no CC everything is from base game, WA and Ambitions and some free store content like the environmental planter things and such. Large pictures in bedroom and living room are the digital photo frame from ambitions with photos my simmies took most stuff is placed with moveobjects and um... I think that's about it! Like I said, still not sure if the last collage image is allowed but I'll leave it there and hope for the best.

The Quick House!
Named after what I had to be to re-build a house after my computer crashed, to reach the headline
1BR 1BA, Living room, Kitchen, Patio, BBQ Area/Garden Retreat, Pond, Parking. No CC used.
This beach house was done up after local investors saw the potential in this run down shack. It is aimed for a older couple without children who want to live life in the slow lane.
The property consists of two buildings, one for living and one for sleeping. The small living room area is cosy with a view of the garden and the beach. It has a TV and cable available. Kitchen is fully fitted with all modern appliances and has a back door that leads out to the trashcan.

ROUND 1 IS NOW CLOSED TO NEW ENTRIES!
If you didn't manage to get your entry in, I'm sorry! Unfortunately we had a limited number of spaces and extended it as much as possible, without over-extending the judges. We will do another contest again soon when this one is done, so you'll have another chance to participate.
You can still post your pics in the Chat Thread if you weren't able to make the deadline!
Contestants: You may still edit your entries!
You have 12 hours to edit your entries (if desired) before the thread is closed for judging. Polish them up pretty, ya'll!

Does that mean edit the entry or edit anything (lots included)?

Any changes you want, to any part of your entry. If you suddenly realize those windows would look better in white than black, change 'em - and retake your pics. Or if you want to change the text, or whatever, that's up to you. Because there was such a rush, ya'll should have a little time to fix up things that you might've done differently/better/whatever, if you want.

Hopefully with images, now!
Okay, hope I'm still in time - though Thursday is still out there, I see this contest is going over extremely well! Good luck everyone! My pics are at: http://s779.photobucket.com/albums/...%201st%20Round/
I haven't got the foggiest notion how to include them in this post, but would appreciate at least a look-see.
The accompanying text:
Welcome to the Dryad's Haven! Deep in the swamps of Twinbrook, a dryad's tree was struck by lightning. The devastating hit knocked down the top of the great tree and tore out much of the heartwood. The dryad was thrown clear and after recovering in the local hospital, returned to her homesite to find that the tree was still alive! New growth had started! So she built a new home from the fallen wood. Her home has an eat-in kitchen,[IMG]<a href="http://s779.photobucket.com/albums/yy75/gamine55annie/Contest%201st%20Round/?action=view¤t=kitchen.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i779.photobucket.com/albums/yy75/gamine55annie/Contest%201st%20Round/kitchen.jpg" border="0" alt="Kitchen"></a> [IMG]living room,[IMG]<a href="http://s779.photobucket.com/albums/yy75/gamine55annie/Contest%201st%20Round/?action=view¤t=living2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i779.photobucket.com/albums/yy75/gamine55annie/Contest%201st%20Round/living2.jpg" border="0" alt="Living"></a> [IMG]bedroom [IMG]<a href="http://s779.photobucket.com/albums/yy75/gamine55annie/Contest%201st%20Round/?action=view¤t=bedroom.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i779.photobucket.com/albums/yy75/gamine55annie/Contest%201st%20Round/bedroom.jpg" border="0" alt="Bedroom"></a>[IMG]and 2 baths. The mostly hollow tree trunk houses the stairway. There are two decks, one off the living room and a large one at the side, which accesses the parking area, garden and the delightful Heart Pond in back.[IMG]<a href="http://s779.photobucket.com/albums/yy75/gamine55annie/Contest%201st%20Round/?action=view¤t=floorplans.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i779.photobucket.com/albums/yy75/gamine55annie/Contest%201st%20Round/th_floorplans.jpg" border="0" alt="Floor Plans" ></a>[IMG]
CC used: log stairs (1), 1x1 and1x2 windows (2 and 3) roof pattern (4) and I think one of the wood patterns (5). Other wood patterns were taken directly from EA/Store items.
There are several extraneous floor tiles in front of the foundation, used decoratively to represent tree roots, and mostly inaccessible through plantings.
This lot will not be uploaded because it lacks: a realistic bark-tile roof, bark groundcover and cfe trickery to make realistic rootworks, a realistic branch to support one of the new offshoots and (since I used the aspens for their lovely newish greenery) an aspen-barkish wood finish for the trunk.
Hope you at least get a kick out of the idea!
Again, good luck everyone - I'm looking forward to seeing your ideas!
