I know this is probably a long shot, but I was wondering if there's a mod which allows you to visit your neighbors houses in the same way you can visit a community lot. It's one limitation in TS2 which I feel to be sorely missing when I play and I have vague memories of hearing about such a mod, but I'm not sure. Thank you

Chris Hatch over at BAS has one called "Visit other Sims" but it is in the adult side of the site. (BackAlleySims)

I found this mod today. :-) Can anyone help me with it, please. I own all sims 2 expansions and stuffpacks, but I don't know what files I must download and is it going to owerrides any files, cause I don't want too loss anything. :-( A little help for me, please. If you have Al you grab one of the AL versions. Do you want to take a taxi or do you want your sims to walk? Just grab whatever version you want, they are clearly labeled. What do you mean by override files? Overwriting happens when you install the same file over the top of itself. Do you have his hospital mod?

in the download size there is said something about woohooing? And Inteen? What are those things? And I don't have hospital mod.

I mean in download page. And can you tell what files I have to download if I want to walk or drive with my own car to my friends?

Woohoo is sim sex. InTeen is another mod, which mostly affects sim sex; because Chris' mod affects cars and sims can have sex in cars, his mod also makes changes to the way sims have sex in cars, and conflicts with other car sex related mods.

All the info you need is in the documentation on BAS. I really suggest that you read it, because this is a mod which can cause quite a few problems, so you need to follow the instructions and be aware of the potential problems. If you can't find or understand the documentation, then it might not be a good idea to use this mod, because I think you'll find troubleshooting any problems it creates very, very difficult.

I just moved all the sims I created into a new neighborhood, effectively loosing all their relationships. Who do you get the sims to visit each others homes to start new relationships/friendships?
I have already checked out the website mentioned in the 2nd post of this thread and it came up that the site no longer exists.

@pjb123 If you did that you just corrupted the hood you took them from and the hood you moved them too, never move sims between hoods it's one of the known big causes of turning your hood into a fire ball.Your best bet now would be to revert to a backup from before you did this or delete the hoods and start off fresh.

The best way to figure out how the mod works would be to read the documentation that comes with it.

I was planning on uninstalling and reinstalling Sims 2 once I get all the stuff packs to avoid multiple additional installation of the .rar files. I have been able to get my sims to be able to visit other hoods by using the cars before without any additional downloads before, so I'm not sure why moving the sims I've created out of hoods I've created into a newly created hood would cause a problem.

And why is this new issue (Sept 20) connected to a non-related question that's been dead almost a year?

Using cars to go to sub-hoods is not a problem but in Sims 2 you can not go to another main hood by using cars.

You do not have to uninstall Sims 2 to get a clean game again, all you got to do is remove The Sims 2 folder out of My Doc and start up the game and it will make a new clean game again as long as you have not done any of the game corrupting things.
