Default Looking for a new computer
Hey guys,

My laptop is becoming really crappy for games, so I tought I would change. The graphics card, or the chipset, was a GeForce GT 540M, making it impossible to play the sims 2 (believe me, I tried). I saw it on this thread http://http://simswiki.info/wiki.ph...nboard_Graphics

The computers (not laptop) I have in sight have Asus Radeon R9 270 DirectCU II, 2 Go, or MSI Radeon R9 270X GAMING 2G, 2 Go

Are thoses compatible ? Because my like number one priority is to play games, my number two is to play the Sims 2. XD

Please help. : )

If you want to play games then a desktop computer is the way to go.

Your largest expense will be the video card for the better it is the higher the price will be.

They both has about the same performance as as Nvidia GTX 660. (Some are lower and some are higher.)

I use to look at the memory bandwidth but it is hard to find on newer cards.

I'd try asking this on the Computer and Technical Support section. Not too many readers over there but one of the site helpers is really helpful and knowledgeable.

I no longer come over to MTS very often but if you would like to ask me a question then you can find me on tumblr or my own site tflc. TFLC has an archive of all my CC downloads.
I'm here on tumblr and my site, tflc

Hi @glad971,

Those GPUs are good. Can you tell me the rest of the specs or post a link to the PCs? What are the prices and what country are you buying from?

@*_Drew~ please start your own thread.
