This user has the following games installed:
Sims 3, World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night, Generations, Pets, Showtime, Supernatural, Seasons, University Life, Island Paradise, Into the Future
TS3CLA says I need a World Adventures update...launcher says I'm fine!
As said in the title, the TS3 Crash Log Analyzer has been saying for the last 3 days that I need an update for World Adventures, Ambitions, Fast Lane Stuff, and many more.It was working fine for the last 2 weeks, when I installed Into the Future and Island Paradise. I had some CC issues but found the culprit. Now this. Argh!!
Any ideas? Has this happened to anyone before?

it's not an issue. that program is simply designed to check which EP's you have and whether they are updated or not. EA, originally, began updating each EP individually, then moved to only updating the Base Game with superpatchers. I have all EP's and SP's and the older ones still sit as they were installed, no updates. You can choose to update or not, it wont matter either way.

That's still kind of weird. I've been using the program for a while, and it always said memory was an issue for the crashes. I just needed to restart my comp, as I tend to just put it to sleep and not restart for a few days. Why would it mention this now?

I've never used the program, no need for it. If you wish to understand why it does what it's doing, you should be asking the creator in the thread, since creators must support their own work.

Well, don't misunderstand the program. It doesn't tell you why your game crashed. It looks through the logs and your specs and gives you suggestions as to what may have been the cause of the crash. In the past, mismatched patch levels between the basegame and EPs did cause crashes, so if you have such a mismatch it will tell you, just in case that's the reason for the crash. Equally, if you don't have much RAM or if you don't have much free memory, it will tell you just in case that's the cause.
Incidentally, the memory issue probably was fixed by restarting. Windows is not a very tidy operating system, and the longer it's left running, the more it fills your memory with little bits of junk from background processes etc. Restarting will free up all that memory, temporarily, and can thus help if you're just on the cusp of memory-related crashes. Also, if you're playing sims for a long session, saving will also reduce the likelihood of memory-related crashes, as it transfers some of your save data from RAM to the hard drive.
What I lack in decorum, I make up for with an absence of tact.

Regarding that low memory issue: I have 12GB of memory, and CLA gives me that error when free game memory dips below 50 MB. Since it is an x86 program, you only get 4GB of RAM no matter how much RAM you have
When I had 4GB of RAM, playing the Sims and doing regular PC work was nightmarish b/c most of the information would get paged.
Saving in map mode (zoomed out) can help relieve some of the memory issues.

All very helpful info. I'm going to try to free up more memory on my comp in a different way than restarting. I'm sure there's plenty of junk to get rid of.
As an update, though: I removed all the CC I've installed in the past month, and cleared ALL the caches, not just the usual 5. World caches, thumbnails, featured content, everything that could regenerate itself. I loaded up on an old game from before I got Into the Future and Island Paradise. It lasted about 40 minutes before crashing, with frequent saving. Better than 2 minutes, but not nearly satisfactory.
I will look into clearing more junk off my comp. It is a gaming computer that I got specifically to play TS3. I will post the specs shortly.
I did have some lag issues with the original Isla Paradiso, but I replaced it with the fixed version and played it fine for about a week before these current issues occurred.
Thanks so much for your input! I really really appreciate it :3
