I hope someone can give me some help with this. I have several households with pets and I set the locks on ALL their doors to keep them from getting out.

Every time I load one of these households, the pets are outside. Every time. One of them had a pet who wandered off very far from the lot. Is there something that can be done about this? Otherwise there's no reason to have a lock option on the doors if they simply won't work. Am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated!

(BTW I turned off Story Progression. I thought this might have had something to do with it but apparently not.)
