It might be because of the patching problems too. The incremental patches differ from the super patchers which may cause instability. If you want to, you could wait until the next round of patches and hopefully the issues will be resolved.

Is TS3W.exe on the DEP list? That's the only one you should be using.

Default ?
Hey, whenever I try to run this, a message says..

"To run this appliction, you first must install one of the following versions of the .net framework: v4.0.30319.
Contact your application publisher for instructions about obtaining the appropriate version of the .NET framework."

I do not understand this. Please help me

Link to download .NET Framework is under "Install Instructions" at the top of the page. You can also get it through Windows Update (likely an optional update).

Have you restarted the computer since installing .NET Framework 4.0?

According to this:
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...dc-51ed8d70f749

kernelbase.dll might mean there's user profile corruption. Whatever the case, there's a problem with the computer, not TS3CLA.

Oh, the 'stopped working' message says the kernel base thing. Would it work if I made a new profile on the computer?

You could try it. It would prove if there is profile corruption or not.

Does it crash while loading?
No.

-Does it crash randomly?
Only crashes when I load a family.

-Have you changed anything between crashing and not crashing?
The first crash happened when I placed a stain glass window I DL from here into a wall. I downloaded CC magic, deleted the window packages, and I can no longer load my family.

-What version of The Sims 3 and Expansions do you have installed?
All the way up to LN minus the stuff packs. 6.5.1

Very good chance there's an incompatible/corrupt custom content installed. Try running the game without them to see if it still crashes.

I've removed all the CC I could find. I have no idea where those three pieces it's talking about are. I've removed CC magic, and everything that looks like it could be CC. Also I already set up a DEP exception for LN following the instructions. I also made a new family, and deleted my old save. Every time I click to tell my sims to go somewhere DEP freaks out. Whatever I installed borked up my game badly.

The graphics device you're using is very weak and likely causing the DEP crashes. You can try disabling DEP but the ideal solution would be to upgrade the graphics card.

#987 Old 9th Apr 2012 at 3:50 AM
I've never had any issues with my card running TS3. I had the same install since WA came out until I had to re install windows with no issues. I've never even heard of DEP until this. So I wouldn't call it weak exactly.

As for upgrading, well it's a laptop so that's not possible.

Thank you for your help. I'll try to figure out whats up some other way.

It is a weak GPU: http://www.notebookcheck.net/NVIDIA...-GS.9452.0.html

DEP is often related to the graphics drivers. If you haven't tried updating them recently, you could give that a shot.

Hello! Ever since I installed The Sims 3 Showtime, my game crashes, and there's always a message box before launching the game saying something like "It seems you have installed modifications in your game..." There are times I can play the game with no problem, there are times when it suddenly crashes. THANK YOU for this application, though I need your help analyzing the crash log. You see, I'm not too techy. Hehe

It says on the CLA app:
"Warning: Updates available [and it enumerates all the game updates available]"

As far as I know, since patch 1.22, the game has changed the patching process and that all we need to patch is the base game, right? So I thought that patching all the other EPs and SPs aren't necessary. I also downloaded your patch downloader in case EA made some error again and we have to update our EPs and SPs. Currently updating, though I'd still like to hear your analysis on this.

THANKS A BUNCH!

The reason why I recommend still patching everything is because if the launcher manages to run the wrong executable, crashes will be plentiful. It's not as critical as it used to be.

Have you tried running the game without any custom content?

Hey! I found the error. It seems that I downloaded a corrupt mod (found out through Delphy's Dashboard). Re-downloaded the mod and so far, since then, no crashes to report. Will ask again if ever something's up. Again, thanks a lot!

↑ I didn't really understand...I didn't install new CC (packages or s3p) since yesterday and of course, yesterday my game works perfectly and Delphy's Dashboard didn't detect bad CC.

The second thing is that I should check updates "Warning: updates available". So yes I know my game is completely outdated but until it works I don't try anything...
What should I do ? Check again my CC, disable and test it or immediately update my game before anything ?

Thanks for your precious help, and excuse-me if my english is quite bad.

Delphy's Dashboard only detects corrupt custom content, not incompatibilities. If you install custom content that is incompatible with the expansions/versions you have installed, it can crash.

I thinking updating would be a good idea. If you figure out what custom content is causing the problems on 1.29 then update to 1.33, likely a different set of custom content will cause problems. The crashing could also be caused by a bug in 1.29 that was resolved in 1.31, 1.32, or 1.33.

If I were you, I'd update to 1.33 then figure out which custom content are causing problems.

Ok well I've tried literally everything I can find as so called 'fixes' to stop this problem and NOTHING is working. The game loads perfectly fine and super fast and I can move a family into a lot but when I click on 'Create a Sim' I get the loading screen and then after about 10-20 seconds the music stops and it CTDs.

The Analyzer says it's a graphics issue but my graphics is more than capable of handling this game and 3 days ago it wasn't doing this! Please help!

~Here's is my PC Specs.

M/b: ASUS M4N82 Deluxe nForce 980a SLI AM3

CPU: AMD Phenom II X3 720 True Triple Core 2.8GHz

RAM: 4GB (2x2) Vitesta DDR2 800MHz

Graphics: Nvidia GEForce GTX 260

PSU: BFG 800w ES-800 Quad 12v w/ 2.91 SLI support

Cooling: x6 1200rpm fans.

O/S: Windows 7 Professional

DirectX: 11

HDD Capacity: x2 Samsung SATA HDDs - 1.5TB & 1TB

I completely wiped The Sims 3 from my system, did a registry cleanup etc etc. and reinstalled the base game ONLY without adding a single CC file. Installed via default directory.

I've tried an alternate directory on a differtent HDD. Didn't help.

I've tried the DEP tip, didn't help.

I completely wiped my graphics driver clean off of the system and I've updated the graphics driver. Didn't help.

I've looked in in 'Virtual Store' folder. It's empty.

I've deleted the temp cache files. Didn't help.

I've patched the game to 1.33. Didn't help.

I have dot net framework 4 installed.

I've tried running as admin, tried compatbility mode (XP SP3 AND XP SP2) Still didn't help.

You name it I've tried it.

The Crash Log Analyzer keeps telling me its a graphics issue but my card and the drivers are FINE. I've tested it with Fallout 3 modded like crazy and THAT game is far more tempermental with graphics issues and it's running perfectly on a 1360x768 resolution.

The resolution is that high because my PC is hooked up via hd to my Sony Bravia. Don't try telling me that's the issue either please, The game 'Create a Sim' menu was loading fine 3 days ago.

Everything else seems to be fine I think, I've moved into a lot with no issues but I haven't tried playing yet because I WANT MY OWN SIM OFCOURSE.

Please, please help. I'm totally defeated. This thing just won't give it up!

(It is a full retail copy of the game and is running fine on my laptop when I tested it, the laptop has far lower specs too).

Many thanks

@bazerk83: Please use the Copy to Clipboard function of the application and paste it in your reply.

Also, TS3CLA does not delete crash logs so it can show the same crash log over and over even if the issue has been resolved. Has it crashed again after doing all the things it did? There's an option to delete logs under the File menu of TS3CLA.

@Kotaishi: You could try playing without custom content and lowering graphics settings but, the problem most likely stems from Pets (specifically horses) and a weak graphics card.

and the custom content I added AFTER the crashing as someone suggested using nraas Twallens Overwatch mod. These are the THREE packages installed into C:\Users\Me\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages

NoBuildSparkles.package
nointro.package
NRaas_Overwatch.package

I have no idea what this apparent (4 Found) is, there's only 3.

I've checked virtualstore, it's completely empty. Infact, there is no other folders beyond the folder Virtualstore, that's where it ends.

Also, I looked up about the new way of installing CC and it listed that I had to delete a bunch of resource.cfg files that were found outside of the bin directory (but not the ones IN the bin directories) well, there are none.

It tells you to delete the file d3dx9_31.dll from directory C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin .... but that doesn't exist in my installation either.

I really don't get why it refuses to 'load the create a household'

I've updated the game patch to the max. I know 1.33 is the latest so why does the launcher say my version is 12.0.273.015001?

This was all working 3 days ago. It's really starting to me mad as I've wasted an entire day off trying to figure this out and it's just not giving it up...... :-\

Hmmmm. I have a feeling that it's because I only have directx 11 installed and it wants directx 9. Odd, but I have a hint from the crashes that this MAY be it.

Doubt it though. Fingers crossed
