Default Open Space World
I have an idea, and before I think too much longer about acting upon it, I want to know if it's possible.
My idea is to have an entire world set in deep space, like a space station with separated 'nodes' (lots). But to do so I would need a mod to change the sky so that it is either always night or completely replacing the sky with space. Also, I would need to have a custom ground pant to match the sky so you can't tell the difference between ground and sky. I'm just curious if anything like this would be possible through mods.
Thanks!

You can change the length of night/day in the game ini files. I'd have to go in and find exactly which one has the effect, but there have been many discussions on mts about it, you can do a search. The Light Parameters thread would be the best place to start. Making a new texture is quite easy. There's a link in my siggy for the Caw FAQ. If you scroll down through all the links, and textures there's a tutorial on making terrain textures.

That would be amazing if you decided to go through with it!

You might look at the lighting used here: http://www.microsofttranslator.com/...do-ekonika.html. (Be careful, though, the site now has those "diverting" web pages attached.) It has a wonderful, always dark and foggy atmosphere. I downloaded the world long ago and still enjoy playing it from time to time. Perhaps you can contact the builder and find out where the mod came from. There's a thread here at MTS about using the earth to replace the sun, (http://www.modthesims.info/showthre...highlight=earth) but I don't think it works with Seasons with the phased moon. Good luck with your project. It sounds very exciting!
