So you did task scheduler and created the task? It should take standby down to 0 as Jessa says in the video. http://modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=610641 Again I am also assuming you watched the video carefully.

Yes I followed it exactly like the video instructs...though maybe it is working because I've been in game for about five hours and not a single hiccup or crash. I think I'm in the clear now thank you both so much for all your help. And thank you for looking into the issue and your patience with me jo I appreciate it

Make certain you've followed all the steps outlined in the post at https://www.reddit.com/r/Windows10/...rs_on_creators/ . I initially had the same issue because I didn't catch that I needed to change the user on the task, or set the privilege and hidden options. Once I did, my standby memory got knocked down to zero just as it was supposed to.

That's great @jvms20 If you do have a crash or you update windows or drivers, make sure to go check if your 4 GB patch is still on as it can come off. I had that happen from a crash a couple of months back and had to redo it.
