Default Store Content Not installing?
I've tried asking around for a fix to this and only thing people have suggested is "Contact EA" and they're down for the weekend.

I recently discovered I could replace my physical base game to which I had lost the CD key and was unable to reinstall, with an Origin version. After installing a mix of digital and physical installs my game is now saying I need the latest patch before it will install any CC... however I have the latest patch.

You could check the links in this thread: http://www.modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=531623

Can't you just redownload your store content from your buy history? And does the problem also concern user made cc?

I can download it yes, but trying to install it gives an error message saying "Please install latest patch" which is installed. This install is a fresh install on a new PC and I have no backups from my old PC to use so I'm trying this with new downloads that are failing each time.

Just tried some regular Custom Content. Works fine.

did you already try to re-patch again by simply re-applying the latest patch from a reliable source like the simswiki here http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title...lp:TS3_Patching
i dont mean to uninstall or such things, just put the latest patch again on top to be sure origin / the launcher didnt messed it up.

Yep, did that. Also emptyed out my downloads folder and replaced with an empty one.

Anyone solve this? I have the same problem - says to install latest patch, but I already have 1.67.2.024017.

For example, here an installer fail message.
RoaringHeightsStandard.Sims3Pack: Please make sure your
game has the latest Software Updates and try again.

I tried redownloading the packages, same results.

Well, I downloaded some kinda "from anything to latest patch" patch. Ran it; Still running into sims3packs I can't install.

I thought that maybe it had something to do with the fact that I uninstalled Pets. Reinstalled pets, and it's still a fail with the same error about latest update. Somethings install, but a lot doesn't, and so far, it all seems to be some of the stuff (not all) that I paid for that doesn't install.

So, in doing more research... apparently this is because when I bought the DLC my game configuration was mostly from Origin, but there was "Generations" that was from disk.

Then my hard disk fails, try to reinstall, and the "digital rights management" software won't let it be installed, and it tells this story about versions needing an update - which isn't true.

Apparently, the solution is to buy the stuff again.

Nah. Not going to do that. I don't find their practice reputable.

Someone, I'm trying to go back through the MTS forums to find who it was so I can gush my eternal gratitude, pointed out the above website to me which explains the problem.

So, I uninstalled the game, reinstalled it with my old CD that I originally used to install the game, and now my DLC works.

P.S. Buying the stuff again does NOT work. I now have four copies of Dragon valley: 2 standard Origin versions, one Gold Origin version, one CD version. And the online EA help guys were completely worthless. You'd think they'd know about this problem, but Noooo... Not bitter or anything, it's only money.
