All lots seem to be small and very close together with a lot of trees in the open areas. Quite taxing on the rendering engine and difficult for on lot routing.
And judging from the pictures the lots will have fences and house borders going very close to or directly on the lot borders. Sims tend to get stuck on the corners of such lots when they try to turn these corners.
This will probably be a world where you should avoid placing pets, large families and playing Sims in the active Ambition careers. I bet you will find it impossible to play a fire fighter in there in any case.

Okay…maybe I'll just go there on vacation then…

I just downloaded Amberville, Bridgewood, and Mesa Grande from Create a World Blog. I have yet to play any of those worlds but they seem very pretty. Looking forward to it.

These are my favorite worlds of all time! (Alpine County & St. Claire are probably my two most favorites.)
All of these are worth a check out.

Ps. Alpine County can be a reeeaaally slow world. It depends on how well your computer can run sims 3. It's so big and wonderful though! Just thought I should add that.

I just downloaded and installed Strangetown (aaronrogers8i3 ) It is a bit early to say if this is my favourite custom world, but I've a strong feeling it will be. What I have seen so far of it is awesome (which isn't a word I like to bandy about too much). All the original lots are included, and all the original families, as well as all the base game Sims 3 rabbitholes and community lots. You will need Supernatural and Seasons installed.

Oh, and if you were wondering about Bella Goth, I had a poke around using Master Controller, and she is there.
Yes, I will be spending a lot of time in this town.

I'm afraid I've no idea how to provide a link for this, but it should be easy enough to find.

Legend is history as we would like it to be. We pick through the dusts of time for what is worth keeping and, here and there, we occasionally find treasure.

Quick question- are there any custom worlds out there that use the Zephyr train from Into the Future?

That Strangetown is almost empty though

Thanks... I think someone else called their town "Strangetown". It isn't very good. This one looks much better. I'll have to try it.

I've been using Pyronium3's Setra, and MSR's Al Shibalba quite exclusively in my game. I wish I could find more Egyptian worlds.

If I recall, StrangeTown in TS2 was pretty empty, wasn't it? That "emptiness" is part of StrangeTown's charm I'd say.

Mesa Grande from Create a World Blog.

I definitely recommend Mesa Grande to anyone. Beautiful world, nicely designed in terms of routing, and requires only the Base Game. There are also some AMB and SNS add-on lots created for it too.

Highly doubt it. People had issues getting it to work in custom worlds. Hopefully one of our resident dappers can finally unlock this, my Bellatrix town is crying out for it.

Anyone know where I could find good medieval, baroque/rococo, Victorian, and supernatural-themed worlds, especially a world meant to be like Transylvania or Hell? I have Victorian Bay and I adore playing there and in Dragon Valley and Moonlight Falls the best

@southparkrocks - When you mentioned Hell, I remembered a world that Quailhogs is working on. It's called Wraith, and it's currently at Beta Phase 4.

Thank you, I believe I will download that, I've needed a proper world to be Hell for some time for my Queen of Hell sim, she currently lives in Dragon Valley, but I will download Wraith and move her there
Edit: it requires stuff packs I don't have, darn it!
Second edit: I have downloaded it after reading that the creator chose not to use stuff pack content due to many players who use their worlds not using stuff packs, I have been playing it with no issues, and it is a great town which is perfect for my Queen of Hell, Elvira, to rule

Is there such thing as a world with all expansion pack content without Store content? Or at least limited, non mandatory content? I don't mind if there's not, say, WA, UL, or ITF content in the worlds, but I'd rather have all the other packs' content in one place so my Sims could access it all.

...I don't care about a lack of arenas either because I never play Showtime careers.

Random CAW question about that gigantic bridge from Late Night, could you have roads and buildings underneath it or would that screw up routing? I've had some ideas for a small city island world that takes place in one section of the city (with the rest of the city in the background) and one section I wanted was some gentrified version of Brooklyn's DUMBO.

I'm writing a TV series, yeah. It's a cross between True Detective and Pretty Little Liars.

I don't think it is possible, because even though it looks like a bridge and lets sims go across the top of it, if you can imagine it without the bridge mesh...it's actually a giant rectangle box with street attachment points on both ends. And this box travels all the way down into the terrain below.

Although it is one of those bridges underneath which you can pass in a boat.

There's the Legacy Island 3. It's a nice world. And if you don't have any of the free store content or those two venues, it's not a problem. Works just fine without them.

Sounds like some experimentation is in order, then. However, I don't currently have CAW installed since updating my computer.
