This user has the following games installed:

Sims 3, World Adventures, Late Night, Generations, Seasons, Island Paradise
Default PLEASE HELP! Simss working really slowly!
Okay, so Yesterday I tried to load up the Sims 3 but the game was almost unplayable it was that slow. I hadn't played for about 2 months and i had installed roller coaster tycoon 3 during that time. I tried loading the game again and the speed hadn't changed. It took about an hour to get to the main menu and another half an hour to get into the game. i had to quit the game before i could create a Sim because i just couldn't do it. The game had worked fine 2 months ago and i hadn't done anything to do with the Sims during those 2 months.
I have tried all of these to try and helped the speed and none have helped:
Got rid of almost all of the package files and mods
deleted quite a lot of my custom content
Deleted everything in the DCbackup folder
reduced all of the graphic options to the lowest setting
got rid of all of the pre-made families to get rid of any trapped Sims.
Uninstalled any unnecessary programs and i have uninstalled rollercoaster tycoon and everything that cam with it
done a disk cleanup and defragment
restarted the laptop

Is there anything else that might help. My last resort is to uninstall the game but i really dont want it to come to that because it will take forever to re-install

expansion packs and stuff packs i have:
seasons, 70'2, 80's and 90's stuff, generations, Island Paradise, Late night and world adventures.

(I hope this makes sense and i hope you can help!)

What about your system specs? They might not run The Sims 3 well.
