Default 'Can't Place on Slope' - lotadjuster problem?
I'm building a lot, and I used Lotadjuster to move it a square to the right; so I reduced it by one square on the left and increased it by one square on the right.
The lot is completely flat, but in parts of the right hand side it seems to think it's on a slope, and won't place doors (for example)

Any ideas? Is it a lotadjuster problem? I tried moving the lot into the bin and putting it back in the neighbourhood, but it didn't fix the problem.

After using the Lotadjuster did you make a change then save and exit to the hood view then go back in and see if it works.

Yep, I've been in and out of the lot a few times, and I've done lots of building work. I keep hoping it will fix itself, but no joy so far

have you tried flattening the terrain in the lotadjuster?

Want a specific style of house or community building? Why not take a look at my profile and see what I build and then come ask me to make it!

I just tried this. It didn't solve the problem BUT it also hasn't seemed to have actually flattened the lot - I created basements in parts of the lot and it hasn't flattened them to street level

I think this tread may need to be moved to the LotAdjuster comments section. http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=384656

Mootilda will see it sooner there than here.

The LotAdjuster will only flatten the lot edges. It has no option to flatten the lot. If you want the rest of the lot terrain flattened, then you'll need to do it yourself, in game.

Do you see any kind of error when you try to place the door? Specifically, does it say that the problem is uneven terrain?

Sorry, I've been away.

ANYWAY, it just says 'can't place on slope'. Eventually I deleted the building and 'flattened' the lot under it and rebuilt. Fine. But it just moved the problem to another part of the lot. Visually, the lot looks completely flat. Nothing changes (as far as I can see) when I flatten it.

My current plan is to 'push' the 'slope' into areas not built upon, and I think this will make it useable. However, I did plan on uploading it here, but now I'm worried that there's something wrong with the lot....

Maybe I'm missing something, but if there is an issue with that spot why on earth do you insist on building there? And if the plan is to upload, even more so. Get yourself a building hood and build the lot there, and use the catalog to put it in whatever hood you want it in.

I'd consider it highly irresponsible to upload a lot that gave you weird problems when building.

It is a building hood. I just use it for playing around with building lots. It isn't the spot - the lot has been put into the catelogue and placed in several locations with the same problem. The issue only arose after I'd largely finished building most of the lot, and there's no way of building what I want to without using lotadjuster, so I wondered if it was linked to that.

Alright, that makes more sense. It sounded from your earlier post like you are using the same lot, but having removed the stuff built on it. Did I misunderstand or is that the case? I'd try with a fresh lot in a different place, and see if the same thing occurs. Perhaps that's what you did, not sure I understood.
