Site Statistics, 2009

Hi All,

I did some site statistics before, but have been lacking in the past few months. For the end of the year, though, I figured I'd do something special and try to get as many stats as possible out to you all.

For the year 2009 we have had:
* 1.14 million new user registrations
* 71 thousand new threads (that covers uploads both approved and rejected)
* 90+ thousand new posts
* 4.6 million thanks for downloads and articles

We've had a bunch of changes to the site including a new navbar layout, a new New posts screen, trending downloads, the quick menu, social groups, a whole bunch of work on the wiki and obviously a bunch of changes to the backend that about 3 people will understand.

The big thing is, of course, Sims 3, and adding all the various stuff to the site to support that, but in addition we merged the Sims2Community site into MTS, and of course renamed the site too.

As of now we have 3,512 Sims 3 downloads, which may not seem like much compared to other sites but remember that each and every one of them has gone through our stringent upload moderation queue and is top notch quality.

Let's hope that 2010 is just as good a year for the site and for the games, and I and the rest of the staff would like to wish all of our members and guests a very happy new year, and a great start of 2010!

And well deserved too! All these statistics show that the support and love for the games are still there, and still as strong as before.

Happy New year to all ! Staff, Site helpers, Creators, members, with the New year 2010 it always bring new things to each of us. But on a personal level I will still be playing Sims 2.
