It comes in the base game, but it rarely plays for some reason, especially if you have a lot of EPs and SPs stacked on top. I do not mind it that much, but it sounds a lot different from other Pop songs, which is why it feels out of place.

I went down the whole list of "songs here for the Sims I love "every" songs. But there is "One" song when you are in the Sims viewing the whole neighborhood before you enter any lot, I have been trying to find the name of that songs for years.
It have a "Real Let get Down and dance beat, ( fast moving ) every time I heard that song, while at my computer I'll there moving my head up and down and from side to side. I just can't keep still, I feel like I am ready to party real hard.
Sometime the song come on in that screen mode or sometime another song. I wish I could find the name of the song the beat is so good. :lovestruc I love it!

This is also my favorite song. I think for me, the nostalgia is the best part. There are a couple of songs from Sims 1 I like. I have my favorites downloaded so I can listen to them when I'm download custom content. I also put some of them into my Sims 3 game. The music in The Sims 2 was fantastic.

If you open the audio menu from the options menu in-game, you can decide what songs get played for every radio station, build mode, buy mode, CAS mode, and neighborhood mode, and you can play each song that's available- should be able to figure out which one you're looking for!

I still wonder why this song was cut from English versions of the NL expansion, along with a few other songs.

I think I've mentioned this before but my favourite TS2 song is Chocolate, found in the Pop -section. But my overall favourite? Gosh, I don't know. I love pretty much all songs from TS1, even the silly Vacation songs ("Shugu mama mama leelu...") but my favourites from that game are probably the vintage Hollywood songs in the Neighborhood view of Studio Town, they are just perfect!

That's the Sims 3's Main Theme music. Sorry for TS3 haters, I had to post it. I get it stuck in my head all the time, and I haven't even played TS3 for months!! And, if I am not mistaken, it's the same song as Sims 2's Main Theme but in a different key.

I generally really enjoy the college rock station. Most of the time when my Sims listen to radio, it's that station

My absolute favourite is probably Pretty People. Also Black Shoes. But I like all the songs, there's only one I think that I don't like too much (and even that one's not too bad).

Maybe I like it because I am a college student myself and it's supposed to be college student-y music?

Thank all the gods for this thread. I was torturing people for years, trying to get the name of a Sims 2 song I love; nobody knew it. Now I finally learned about the YouTube Music of the Sims and yes, it's there.

It's "Jump". by The Faders. (Never heard of the group - a crash course obligatory.) This is obviously the original version - I must say I like the TS2 one better.

ETA: They disbanded in 2006 after one CD; this song (and perhaps one other) was/were their best. Small wonder nobody knew anything about them.

The TS3 Theme is actually a remix of the NL Junkie XL Theme, which is a remix of the Uni Theme which in itself was a remix of the original TS2 Theme.

So a remix of a remix of another remix.

Original + remix + remix = a completely new song from the original.

My most favorite song is Lemon Jelly - Sim Time.

I also like Chocolate, 360, Banana Blaster, Pretty People (Dexter Freebish <3) and Sinusoidal Sim.

I tend to just randomly start singing the Sims 2 neighborhood song, you know, the one that goes:

I can't remember the name, I'm sure it was linked somewhere on this thread...

Anyways, I will just start randomly humming/singing it and everyone in the room will just give me a weird look.

Agree on both counts - that ba-ba song is pretty good and they're all nostalgic because they're turned off most of the time.
I like most of the songs under the Neighborhood tab, as well as Sim Will Build, under the Build tab. That one seems to play a lot on game startup, at least for me.
The Sims 2 songs are right up my alley, since I like both Instrumental and New Age music. I don't care for singing.

That brings back some serious memories haha. Playing Sims 2 with my cousin on the GameCube.

The combination of the melody and the english words I believe to hear is quite powerful for my poor mind.

In Desiderata Valley I declared the song their national hymn and depending on the sims I´m playing they might be inclined to drop whatever they are doing when it plays.

Seasons theme and my most favorite is "Sim will build" song. But they don't beat Build 1 and 3 from the sims 1, I don't know what it is but the sims 1 has the best ever soundtrack out of all sims games (in my opinion). But if you're looking for an amazing game's soundtrack than you need to listen to Joel nielsen's black mesa source soundtrack, one of the best soundtrack's I have ever listened to for a game.

Ooh, that's tough. I'm gonna have to use different categories for this!
