It's Drama Time Downtown again, ladies and gentlemen!

First up, when Beverly Ku gives birth to his son, Ashley Pitts-Upsnott drops by - bringing his wife Brittany with him. Perhaps not surprisingly, neither of them ever actually sees the baby.


Earlier this week, Ashley picked up a townie and took her to Midnight Flows, where they run into another patron, Billy Ghote. If you think the expressions and the 1000 point aspiration reward (I believe that's from "meet someone new" but couldn't swear to it) are weird, consider that this is the person Billy was dating, and discussing cheating with, when he ran into his daughter and was suddenly overcome by a desire to wed his pregnant fiancee. So I'm not sure the violence is going in the right direction here, but ultimately, everyone involved deserves to be slapped and it hardly matters who delivers the punchline to whom.


Meanwhile, Leslie Gay is beginning to think she needs to find a new habitual restaurant. Bernard's Botanical Gardens is too heavily populated by previous flings!

Word travels fast.

Just a quick overview of this round's big events among some of my favorite couples.


Luis Iana finally proposed to Sharla Ottomas. They both knew she was going to say yes, but it is his contention that she doesn't value herself highly enough, so he got dressed to the nines, took her to the fancy restaurant, did the whole down-on-the-knee thing, serenaded her - and then they went home without eating in their eagerness to get at each other. Afterward, he got up while she was still sleeping and made chili, which they ate in their underwear with rain pouring down like Noah's flood outside, and talked about money and babies. It was so cozy and domestic, I'm not sure how they can stand to wait another two semesters till she graduates. But the only really good picture is this one of them warming up on the bed, with Luis rocking that suave white fedora.


Gabriella, disturbed by the amount of time Harris spends looking through the telescope, suggests adoption. Can't you just feel that hair yielding softly under her fingers? More than once she's considered giving him that second child he never, ever, ever brings up (just goes around holding, playing with, and washing other people's kids with that wistful look on his face), but if he realized she'd gotten pregnant to please him he'd be all cross in that agonizing way Harris does get cross, when you wish he'd yell at you instead of looking at you with those big reproachful eyes. As an adopted kid herself, Gabriella thinks this is probably their best compromise. (But that won't replicate that chin or the big pig-drowning eyes, Gabriella! C'mon, want a baby!)


Pigeon Hawkins jumps Ezekial's bones on the edge of the family fishing hole a few hours before giving birth. It must be the genes - Pigeon had more vitality during her third trimester than a lot of my sim women have on their first day as an adult! She did this spontaneously, so I decided to see if I could time out the, ahem, climax of a date close enough to birth time to simulate inducing labor, but I was off by the time it takes to eat dinner and go to the bathroom.


And another one, just because I love these two together so much. I've got to find a hairstyle that looks okay on Pigeon in front view, wouldn't require her to fuss with it much, and doesn't hide her pig-drowning eyes in side view.

Leod and Willow McGreggor's eldest two daughters (Yes, Leod and Willow recently became parents yet again...to twin girls! Their names are Katherine and Phoebe, and their big brother William, the middle child, is now hoplelessly outnumbered! ) Ming and Fiona, are now in college (at a custom University that I made called Bright Hopes) and both have boyfriends. Fiona's is an ex-townie (I used the "move students" tool to move a few townie teens to the Bright Hopes campus to be roommates for my playables) named Elmer Miguel. Elmer invited Fiona over for a date recently, and of course I had to take pictures!

What's really funny about that last one is that Elmer brought up the topic first...while face palming and making "I'm so embarassed!" noises (and of course, I was too slow to get a picture!). Now the big question is, was it the fact that they did that particular activity in public that he was embarassed about? Or was it his, er, performance?

Vera and Dally are by far the best couple I've made. They started dating in college - on again off again fiances - and now, they just graduated, they are planning on getting married. Hopefully they can be much more responsible than they were in college...

First love, then marriage, then baby BOOM!

So this is Dashiell and the object of his affection Bryan.
They met when Dashiell stayed at the hotel where Bryan works as a doorman.

They're eyes met and it was love all tho both are way too shy to admit it!


(Yes I know because he's an albino he's not supposed to be out in the sun! >.< For lighting purposes I had to swtitch it during the day so I can get a good picture of Bryan.)

*sigh* maybe just maybe they will date eachother.

Last time I posted pics of Maria Berg and Isak Skoog, they were toddlers. But lots of things have happend since then and now they are young adults and a newly engaged couple.

Here they are having some quality time and it looks like they are very much in love.

And of course there's no way Fry would let her stay dry... (Strange thing is, he cried when she pranked him back.)


Now he finally gets serious and tries to woo her.

Okay, I have a few new couples in my game, and I'd like to show you pictures of two of them. First up, Ming (Leod and Willow McGreggor's daughter) and Carl Ying.

If the scene in this one looks familar, it's because Ming's parents, Leod and Willow, previously lived in this house (and I took and shared a similar picture of them). Recently they decided to try out Downtown life, and Ming inherited the family farmhouse.

Now for the second couple. It is, no joke, Santa and Mrs. Claus (whom I gave the first name Mary)!

Kent and Bianca on their wedding day, standing outside the doors of Our Lady of Veronaville. I had decided that she was going to wear her mother's old wedding dress, but I just realized that it was kind of a secret ceremony to avert family drama so only Tatiana (Titania- I changed her name, "Titania" makes me think of ships which isn't very flattering) was invited to take pictures. How would she have gotten her mom's dress if it was a secret wedding?!

He took her name and moved into her house. They're very happy together.

I'm happy with their thing being platonic for now. After all, he's a robot, and kinda clueless about Lydia's feelings. After all, what is more romantic than... ?

In this picture, it looks like they are murmuring about the woman in the background. But they were actually gossiping about Lydia's parents being divorced. Well, I guess she's taking it well.

Just be grateful I don't post any more pictures of Ernest and Sage Ann than I do, all right?

Naenae and Gavin Newson, celebrating the simultaneous transitions of their second daughter to toddler and their first daughter to babysitter, I mean teen.

Sparrow Hawkins and Gerry Mander. He just got done rushing a pledge, hence the toga. He just changed his aspiration from Popularity to Fortune, getting more serious about the relationship at the same time that it's started troubling her that, though she believes wholeheartedly in monogamy and loves him a lot, she keeps, um, noticing other guys and wondering what it'd be like; hence her pensive expression. His change in aspiration doesn't change his opinion that she takes everything too seriously.

Esteban and Sue Casa have come over to see their new grandchild, Dave Ottomas. Sue's been making a serious run at getting a sixth child before she turns elder, and Esteban has finally learned to relax and not worry about money all the time (they have plenty), so they've been a lot more affectionate lately than for most of their life since leaving Guasimala. They're naturalized citizens now, because Dave's mother Susana joined the Combined Services, which is a fast-track to citizenship for the whole family.

Brielle Phillips had been best friends with Ryker Lelaporn ever since she brought him home with her from elementary school one day. Needless to say as the two grew older, their friendship started to turn into a little something more.









Even though they are very happy together, Brielle is a Romance sim (and Ethan's daughter for that matter!) and she isn't quite sure she's ready to settle into a serious, permanent relationship quite yet.

Beverly Ku went out with Phoenix, the random housemate at the House of Fallen Trees. It didn't start as a date, but he's Romance, she's Pleasure, these things happen when you go out for groceries and a new outfit. Phoenix is just at the point of sealing the deal here when suddenly -
"Waitaminute, Tri's not in the crib."
"And a good thing, too."
"But what if he cries?"
"Lora'll be home any minute, Derek and Jimmy are somewhere around, he'll be fine."
"Just let me run down and fetch him. Won't be a minute."

"See, he's fine. Or he was before you woke him up."
"Oh, good. Lalalalaby and g'night la lalala, lalala, how does that go? Oh, right, where were we?"
"Never mind."
Seriously, they were right in the middle of making out, his makeout want rolled over to the expected Woohoo want, all of hers suddenly scrambled to earlier-stage date wants and she jumped out of bed to harass the baby. Who she then set on the floor. Looks like Phoenix potentially screwed up his relationships with everybody in the family and didn't even get laid for his trouble.


Red and Livva Ann Onions, however, were feeling a little low after a day of difficult-to-fill aspirations, and decided to go on a date after supper. A slow dance, a spell in the hot tub, and then off to bed - and he's taking tomorrow because they were up till after six and anyway they've got a grandbaby growing to toddler in the evening and don't want to be too tired for it. Excitement and novelty are all very well, but over the long haul, reliability is better.

And of course, Goz and Kitty Hawkins, having a quiet meal after the twins leave for college."Goodness, this house is quiet all of a sudden."
"Dovie's going to be crawling any time now, so Pigeon'll start wanting another'n. We'll have a full house again in no time."
