Since the latest update, this no longer works. Has anyone modified it to work or come up with a suitable replacement?

Just use Grim's Medieval Core, it enables the debug interactions too.

Very cool. Doesn't have all of them though. For example, plz correct me if I am wrong: 'no jealousy'?

There is no version of this mod to add on Pirates and Nobles?

Because I still had the bug stuck constable has the gallows and I do not really see any other way to resolve it.

TS3 Autocheater works great with TSM. I tried it because I wanted to assign cheats to hotkeys, so I customized my hotkeys with the cheats found here and just ran the autocheater in the background when I played TSM through Origin.

Sorry if it's already been mentioned.

MTS should have a Sims Medieval Section type thing, the way you can search specifically for TS2 or 3 mods and cc.

I have just spent 8 hours.. solid hours... combing through the forums and this thread alone has hundreds of posts... only to discover after all these hours.. all this reading.. all the downloads and organization of them into folders with notepad notes describing what each of them do and what they require to work correctly and where they were downloaded, only to find that None Of Them Work After Patch 2.0.

None of them work after that patch except... a core which sounds really, really awesome for people who want all that stuff tweaked out of their gameplay, but I just want a few things tweaked and cannot tolerate having everything in the game changed just to get the few things I want. If the core allowed tweaking of which features to use, that would be nice, I could turn most of them off and just use the five things I want more than anything else (fix broken recipes/fix spell duplications/no mosaic/add abilities/use of debug, cheats menu).

After all these hours, and finding that such long threads finally end with this one saying all mods are broken I have no desire to search further. I wish the original post would have been edited to say "Everything in this thread is now null and void." Good god, 8 hours.

Yeah, unfortunately TSM is not really an appreciated game and as such the community here is quite small. So yes, many mods will probably be outdated, as there's only a few handful of people like myself actually still developing stuff for this game. Now, in regards to Grim's Core, I'd recommend you taking another look at it before dismissing it completely.

There are plenty of working mods in the Medieval forums here. I play the Pirates and Nobles version of the game and the mods I use, personally, from these forums work correctly in the game. There are some mods in these forums that need to be updated, but I know the ones listed below do work fine with the game without a need to be updated, since they were already updated by the creators or another mod creator and uploaded to share. The ones listed are just the ones I know about, personally, but I'm sure there are plenty of others that do work, too. If none of these mods work in your own game, then you haven't set up your game to work correctly with mods.

That makes sense, and thanks for the links. Do you have any idea if things like the sliders from TS3 should still work, or if there's an easy way to make them work? I hate the sim creation being so limited.

You're welcome! I have heard that some sliders work, but I don't use them myself, so I don't know, personally. You can try them to see. If they don't work, then you can just remove them. Don't save your game until you know they work or not.

The sliders that work well are by Johna. There's a full range of options, chest size, waist size, etc. They have been posted in one of the download threads.

For use of debug, check out the thread on Forsaken. Chickie talks about debug mode there. These are the instructions for mod set up by Chickie. I think they're the easiest to understand.

How to set up The Sims Medieval for Mods

Open the sims medieval install folder which can be found here:
C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims Medieval

If you see folders called 'Caches, Game, Game Data, Support and Thumbnails', you're in the right place.

Put the 'Resource.cfg' file in here so it's sitting with these folders.

Make a new folder called Mods.

Open the Mods folder

Make a new folder called Packages

Open the Packages folder and put the package file for Grims Core in here.

Go back out of the mods folder (you should be back in the folder that contains the Caches, Game, Game Data, Support and Thumbnails folders and your new resource.cfg)

Open the 'Game' folder

Open the 'Bin' folder

Put the 'd3dx9_31.dll' in there.

Close the folders and run the game to check it all works.

I have the new updates and my game works fine with the mods I've had installed for many months. I would be happy to help you choose some mods that still work, let me know specifically what you would like to have in game.
