I didn't fully appreciate the power of makeup till I started playing Sims 2. It can make a huge difference, not only in appearance but in the personality the Sim seems to project. When I get bored with a Sim (which is often), it's time for a makeover. New makeup, new hair, and if necessary new aspiration and/or LTW -- suddenly it's a new Sim.
