Default Edit Bridgeport in CAW while keeping population?
Hello,
I love Bridgeport but i want to make some changes.
Unfortunately with editing the town in CAW i lose the population from EA.
Is it somehow possible to edit Bridgeport in CAW without loosing the population made by EA?

I hope someone can help me, thanks.

I think you would have to keep the same WPID, as well as preserving the other things that CAW deletes upon save (such as the XML files for character import, the sea/sky parameters and the city resource. See these threads for more detail:

You'd also need to install the world as a default replacement- installed to the game data files, not your userdata.
Tricky, and I don't know if anyone has managed to make this work!

I trying it right know, but i am not sure what exactly i have to do.
I exported the WPID file from the original Bridgeport to import it later. Bur where can i find the XML files for Characters? And what is the city resource?
Sorry for asking that many questions..

The XML files should be in the original world file. What you could attempt to do perhaps is to make your changes to Bridgeport and then import the resources from that world into the original Bridgeport (minus the WPID of course).

The city resource is the one mentioned in the link:
http://modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=424374
It flags Bridgeport as being a city.

How do i know which files i have to import from the customized Bridgeport into the original one? All minus the WPID file or only some of them?

It Woked!

1. I edited Bridgeport in CAW, exported it and installed it with the launcher
2. I opened the generated .world file in S3PE and deleted the WPID, _xml & city resource.
3. I exported all files and imported them into the original Bridgeport and put it in NonPackaged/Worlds

Thanks for your help @simsample !
