This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default Flashing Blue Tree
Normally when foliage flashes blue from the neighborhood screen, I just go into the lot and delete it. I'd like to keep this one if possible, and since the creator is well known, I'm hoping someone has experience with the object and can point me to a missing mesh.

The tree is a resized bay tree by Gwenke. It's part of a set of resized trees. None of them flash blue except the bay tree. I've downloaded the set twice and read over the comments to see if anyone mentions the problem but with no success. Is anyone familiar with this tree? Am I missing something?

Since Gwenke is a moderator over there your best bet is to ask over there instead of here.

I thought that might be necessary. I'm really reluctant to bother her so I think I'll just get rid of the thing. It's pretty but high poly anyway. Thank you!

Well I have those trees and don't have that problem. However, flashing blue objects like that are typical of problems with master-slave sets (one of several reasons I don't like them).

I no longer come over to MTS very often but if you would like to ask me a question then you can find me on tumblr or my own site tflc. TFLC has an archive of all my CC downloads.

If that's what it might be, it's not worth pursuing. I have problems with other master-slave sets and have started to get rid of them. They're a real headache. The master must be somewhere if it works for you but it's not mentioned in that thread - I'll just drop it.

ETA: I tried one more thing which seems to have fixed it. I removed two custom colors from the large bay tree. No more flashing. I don't know if that's an indication that a master/slave relationship was the problem, but the colors were affecting the smaller tree.

Sounds like one of the recolours didn't have a winter texture. Probably made before Seasons.

Actually coming back in here and looking at that picture, that's exactly what I thought. I think you're right Simsample. I guess it would be fixable since it's probably only the GUID reference in the file that needs to be corrected.

I've actually just made a similar flasher out of the rose bush (d'oh!) and am hoping to fix the set. Would anyone reading know of a tutorial on how to seasons up my recolours?
