Default What's the deal with the sims 2 exchange?
Why is it bad? I mean it's run by ea, so what's the big deal with it why creators don't want you to post recolors and stuff there? I never got into drama stuffz for the sims, I just have fun uploading everywhere, but I never did upload at the exchange, but I'm just curious, what's the big deal with it?

Well... a LOT of pay meshes are on there.
You are also likey to download multiplehacks, and/or virues.
According to a site i found anyways.
I know the pay bit is true

Creators don't like their creations getting uploaded on there because people tend to claim it's there own work. Also, on numerous occasions I've had to re-install my games because the people who upload to the exchange tend to be idiots, and upload things with hacks incompatible with EPs.

I know the quality of creations there is um somewhat lacking to say the least, from what I've seen.

Well, the thing is, the creations aren't checked to be unique. I've seen people upload houses that came with the game, I've seen them upload really, really horrible looking items to the Exchange. Some of them are good, but the creators are wasting their talent on the Exchange, as EA will often wipe the Exchange to make room for more items, resulting in people losing their lots. That's why creators don't want their stuff on the Exchange. Their creations tend to get stolen and put onto Pay Sites.

Nina- You may want to put "No Exchange" in your policy if you don't want them being there without credit.

Well actually I don't know for sure if they use them or not, because I have nearly 2,000 uploads at TSR and they area all marked TSAA meaning that anyone on TSR can feel free to use them in their lots with or without credit.

2000 UPLOADS!!!!!????? That's insanity, man!

This allows me to see into the minds of people! That's right, I can actually see what they're thinking!
So long as what they're thinking is exactly what I think they're thinking.

Why at TSR? Espeically after what they did to buggybooz?

Well this was before the buggybooz thing went down, and I didn't know the evils of TSR yet.
