... I could just delete the game intro entirely. But I do not like messing about with game files, especially the ones from "The Ultimate Collection" from Origin. So is there a mod that disables the intro instead?

On SIMs 3 as well as on SIMs Medieval there are such mods, so there should be one for SIMs 2 am I right? Unfortunately I can't seem to find it.

No mod that I have seen and it looks like the same way as reg. Sims 2 and you would need to look in each pack: http://modthesims.info/article.php?t=92314

Add: If you are using Windows 8/8.1 then you will need to turn off "Write Protect" on the folder first.

Renaming the intro would have the same effect as deleting it, but leaving it intact in case you had problems or wanted to restore it later.

I thought about doing this too but found if I just hit "enter" or even the space bar when it starts the intro stops and it just jumps right to the load screen.
