This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default Missing base game neighborhoods
I recently reinstalled all my sims 2 games (all eps and sps) after reinstalling my windows os. I had bought the "fun with pets" collection because my "mansion and garden stuff" cd didn't work, and chose to install only m&g from the collection, the rest of the expansion packs being my old ones, on separate cds, and being installed (mostly) in the order they came out. After installing the games I went into the game, and found out that the three neighborhoods from the base game (Pleasantview, Strangetown and Veronaville) were missing. I also went to check in the game files, and, indeed, N001 N002 N003 files were missing.
I am wondering what could have caused this, and what I could do to bring the three towns back.

Thank you for any help!

EDIT: I actually have all eps and sps installed.

You can get the neighborhoods off of your base game DVD. Alternatively, you can download clean and fixed versions of the neighborhoods here:
