Default tweaking existing tall buildings
since i just d'loaded the new sims world creator thing i want to try out an idea but need to know if it can be done before i fry my noob mind.

i want to add skyscrapers ,tall buildings, maybe a casino. or something similar in a customized world.

i saw a tutorial on youtube for creating a custom fence but i am curious if i can apply those same principles to "edit" an existing tall office building to reflect a skyscraper or casino?

someting like the midtown madness scenario.

im still loading up on tutorials so i can try my own meshing stuff.

thanks!

If you want to tweak the rabbit holes, remember they won't be usable. What I mean is that you might end up with a world full of skyscrapers but if the sims don't use them then they're just taking up space.

Why don't you just build some, you have much more flexibility doing that.

I tried cloning the lighthouse to make a test "hood decoration" building, but it didn't show up in CAW. That's what we need to solve, how to get the things to show up in CAW.

wow
too early for me to think. LOL

the CAW doesnt accept package files does it? im pondering (once i figure out how to load the buildings ) that you create your own custom rabbit aka - "skyscraper" you could add that to the CAW directory as a package. would there be a cfg or resource file for the CAW? well you could back up everything and then rename your "original contents" for your customised world?

ill see if any of the guru people have any clues over at sims3

You can mod the existing stuff, that shouldn't be a problem?

It's not picking up overrides either.
