Default WCIF: Costumes Anytime
I'm pretty sure I saw a mod like this somewhere, but I'll be darned if I can find it now. (I'm not an idiot, FYI. I found the mod before I got Seasons. lol Didn't need it then.)

So, to be clear, what I want is a mod that allows my sims to change into a costume anytime they darn well please! I remember when I was a kid, I used to wear my costume in the middle of summer sometimes, just because I wanted to. So, I'd like to have this option for my kids. Of all ages. Including adults. lol So, does anyone know where I can find the mod that will let all of my sims put on a costume anytime they want? Thanks guys! <3

Yeah, that's not quite what I'm looking for. I don't want to make costumes everyday wear. I want to have the "Change Into Costume" option available at all times for all Sims. But thanks for the suggestion!

Have you used testingcheatsenabled true and buydebug on to get the Dreamer's Costume Chest that was introduced in Generations. The chest allows kids to change into several different costumes anytime.

Why would I need buydebug when I can just buy it. And usually do. lol But that does nothing for teens or adults. I even have costumes for toddlers. But again, not really what I need. But thanks for the comment.

Well a big DUH for me ... I haven't used the costume chest in some time but I'm sure I was accessing it the hard way ...buydebug ... sorry and thanks.
I'll keep an eye out for a mod for you but I don't recall ever seeing one...it must be hiding out there somewhere.

The only way I need to do that is to add the costumes into stylist where you can have several to choose from but that's probably not what you're looking for.

A simple solution would be to set kTrickOrTreatUseHolydayCheck to false
in the TrickOrTreatSituation xml with an xml override mod, but this way
trick or treat will always be available (doesn't seem like a great idea to me).

A better solution would be to replace that interaction to remove the check.

I'd be very willing to try to make this mod for myself, but I have NO CLUE. I think it's time I started some lessons. Can you point me to appropriate tutorials? Thanks. <3

Which one?

XML: see http://modthesims.info/wiki.php?tit...XML_Tuning_Mods,

Scripting: see http://modthesims.info/wiki.php?tit...ing#Script_Mods
If you need a reference, there's been recently a discussion with examples about replacing an interaction,
it's in multiple posts around here http://modthesims.info/showthread.p...25#startcomment

If you need help open a thread in Modding Discussion.
