Default Windows 10
Today a suddenly noticed a new icon on my taskbar - “Get Windows 10”; that rather surprised me since the official launch date is July 29. Is this some sort of beta or what? Anyway ...

… has anybody tried TS2 on (this version of) Windows 10 already? I remember all the mess made by Vista (which I skipped) and Windows 8 (which I skipped as well) and my game is running just fine on Windows 7 so I think I should better be cautious.

P.S.: I am playing both TS2 and TS3 so I posted this question in both forums.

Its not a virus it is your chance to reserve your copy of free upgrade to windows 10 when it comes out in July and its from Microsoft.

Beta testers have reported that both Sims 1 and Sims 2 run great but that is the beta.

Windows 10 has been around for a while but only for testing - and it is reported that it works a lot better than Windows 8. It has been in testing when I upgraded my pc earlier this year - and was due to be released around the end of July, so that part is true, at least. The guy told me that Windows 10 is more like 7 than 8 but with better. I am also interested to know how Sims 2 will do with Windows 10.

Without a doubt I've got it reserved.
No more pigging tiles lol

I do hope we don't need to edit graphics rules.sgr, etc. again.

The drop off has been made. You've been warned.

Ditto

As for Windows 10, I may update my gaming laptop and install the Sims 2 and see how things fair.

I'm not brave enough to attempt it on my simming computer (a desktop) that has Windows 7 Professional, as both TS1 and TS2 run flawlessly with that OS. Also, my simming computer is only a little over two years old...so no need to tempt fate just yet.

I thought I was a computer hoarder with my measly 5.

@ Pico22 sorry, but I already since yesterday posted about Window 10 your post was really not need because what I posted yesterday is about this exact same subject Window 10.
it's always a good idea to check the forum to be sure the same "subject" is not being repeated.

Here the link http://modthesims.info/showthread.php?t=556484

Hopefully a Moderator will just combine this same subject into one.

I don't know whether I will upgrade or not. I only got Windows 7 a few months ago!

I hope it works better than windows 8.1. Every time I boot up my desktop icons always get re-arranged. I always have to sort by item type to get them back in the correct order so I can find things and I have a lot of icons.

I reserved an upgrade, but I'm going to see how others do before I take the plunge. If it doesn't work, I'm going to buy a physical copy of windows 7 so I can always have it. Although, I have read that it plays sims 1 and will run word 95, so I'm hopeful
