This user has the following games installed:

Sims 2, University, Nightlife, Open for Business, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage, Free Time, Apartment Life
Default Custom neighborhood won't show up...
Okay so, basically built my self-made neighborhood on my old (Ultimate Collection) game in which it worked fine but then later when computer had to be formatted it deleted EVERYTHING but luckily I found my all my neighborhood files with a file-restore program but however in the game it doesn't show up in the selection menu.

You need to make sure that there is no other hood that has the same # as your old one did.

Also run it through HoodChecker and see if it can be opened in SimPE - it's possible the file restoration utility didn't restore all of the files fully, which would break the 'hood.

What I lack in decorum, I make up for with an absence of tact.

I would always make a backup on an external hard drive of all important files.
