Alpha accessories: transparency issue
Note: English is not my mother tongue, so please forgive possible mistakes =)

My problem: I cloned bracelet with a skull, enabled transparency, and added a tranparency map, but texture of any other accessory is still can be seen on the parts intended being transparent, like this

I know that the other creators who had this problem before, solved it somehow, but unfortunately they failed to share how exactly! I have read though all the threads on this sub-phorum and some on others. Can it be so that I've missed something?

emhpb (author of "Fun With Alpha Accessories" tutorial) mentioned some extra steps needed to be done to enable transparency if you are making a new mesh. Does somebody know what steps did s/he ment?

Nobody discovered wich shader to use to enable transparancy yet, it aint possible.
You could use a glasses file for it but then you wont be able to recolor it( well, you can but i forgot how.....)

you can however make alpha edits on the texture files and when done change the shader into the one used on the store hula skirt, its how i make alpha clothing.

Or you clone a accesoire that is already alphaeditible
There is a EP accesoire that you can use for it, i think emhpb included a clone in her tutorial

Changing the shader is alot of work
You basicly make your file in TSRW and when done you convert it to package.
The package you open with Postal or S3PE and extract the GEOM's(meshes)
Those meshes you open in MIlkshape and under the comments you change the last TGI reference and below in the following:
Cant remember if the last TGI reference(the skeleton) is needed but i included it just to make sure.

Note,
You need to make your package first with TSRW, CTU doesn't include a transparancy map when cloning a accesoire or outfit.

Edit,
ill have a attempt myself(again) to see if i can solve this
Oh, btw, did you enable transparancy at the bottom of the texture tab?

Yes, I enabled transparensy, and tried to clone both EG necklace and glasses - the same result, plus when cloning accessories that support transparency, multiplier (I think, or transparency map) goes wierd... though, I'm planning to try again with the last TSRW version.

And I'll try to chage shader, thank you)))

Btw, I found this alpha accessory by Rose (accessories, page 14, http://www.rosesims2.net/),

this is exactly what I need. Could you perhaps take a look at it?

Those are most likly cloned from the EP accesoire, its the one of the 2 files that supports alphaedits(and the store skirt)
The 2nd one is a mummy outfit(i have been told, never checked it tho)
The problem lays within the bonehashes assigned to the skeleton, those, the shader and the mtnf settings give you alphaedits, transparancy, glass etc etc.
Did visit her site but im not going to browse all accesoires to look for the one you posted(direct link maybe?)
