Default Servo on the sims 3?
I like Servo on the sims 1.

I wonder if simbots and plumbots act like Servo or are they just sims as robots?

Could I activate them to clean the house and fix everything?

Simbots are sims as robots. If I remember correctly, their needs are the same, except they eat scrap instead of food and they don't need hygiene.

Plumbots are much more similar to the servo from TS2, not sure about TS1. You can equip them with a Cleaning chip and Handiness chip, and then it will clean the house and fix everything. Plumbots don't have a Fun or Social motive unless you equip them with different personality chips. Plumbots are much better, they're what simbots should have been from the beginning.

I don't have ts2. For me, ts3 is my first 3d sims game.

Thank you for the tip.

One more thing. Do Plumbots fix and clean by themselves?

They for sure clean by themselves. Not completely certain on fixing, but I think so.

Nevermind. I have Supernatural. Bonehilda can clean and fix things herself.

GnatGoSplat is not sure if plumbots can fix stuff themselves or not.

Blame EA for not adding Servo properly in the sims 3.

Sorry, I just haven't had that much stuff break in the week or so I played ITF.
When I did have stuff break a couple times, I didn't have a handiness chip.
Surely someone else knows the answer.

With the handiness trait chip Plumbots can and will fix things on their own. They will upgrade if you order them.
With the gardening trait chip they will weed, water, fertilise and harvest on their own. They will also imbue the crystal plants with the emotions that you set them to develop. You will just have to plant yourself.
With the cleaning trait chip they will do everything a maid does automatically.
Unless you don't give them any of the social trait chips they will only perform these tasks and not do anything else. I gave mine a holo sprite so she will take care of that when she's idle. Otherwise she would either stare out of the window or admire my deco items.

To be honest I find it quite boring and have only one household in all my games that travelled to the future and built a plumbot. Considering that I still enjoy travelling to the vacation worlds I can't say that I feel the need to visit the future world that often. The only object that I use quite a lot is the hoverboard, because I like how they can travel around the world at slow speed but use the foot paths instead of the roads. It makes for a new visual experience of the world you are playing.

Actually, I'm happy with Bonehilda.

What's happening when your sims go to the future?

Does the future is the same like the present except with future stuff but nothing else to do?

Many screenshots from ITF I found are all great but how about the gameplay?

It's a little bit like a regular world you can live in and a little bit like a World Adventure travel destination, but nothing really special except for that it's all more futuristic and adds some functions that are only available there. I don't know why I get bored there so quickly, maybe it's because the presence of robots and food synthesisers instead of stoves do not really excite me that much to justify living there premanently or stay for more than just a few stays in order to get what I couldn't get anywhere else. If you decided to live there you would have to massively edit the world to add all the stuff from regular homeworlds, but when the world glitches out and you'll be forced to reset the future from the present all those edits will be gone anyway so I do not feel any incentive either to start building there.

The advantage of a Plumbot over Bonehilda is however that you can customise its functions and Bonehilda doesn't garden. The advantage of Bonehilda is that she does not become a household member.

Going to the future, is one of the funnest things to do in Ts3. I personally replaced the normal future hood with RFLongs's Bellatrix, and there is so much possibilities in the future. I have placed Aliens, Simbots, Plumbots, and UFO's in there. It can be amazing if you build it correctly.

I kind of like the ITF future world because it's bright, clean, minimalist, and sterile. Just something I find appealing about it, wouldn't mind staying in such a place like that in real life, at least for a little while.
