I figured this could be a really fun and useful thread if people are interested. The lighting mods by BrntWaffles are definitely top notch; I like to switch them around whenever I play different worlds and the lighting makes a great difference in the overall feel.
The No Glare Lighting Mod by Misty/Margaret Pendragon is awesome too. Unfortunately it's not online anymore but you can still request it from her (personally, I don't use the HQ combo version).
Of course, there's the Nraas suite. Whenever I happen to take one out for testing something, I'm quickly reminded why it's there
I've just started using the No Shopping from Fridge mod by Ani_ and I already love it. Gives a reason to have the grocery store in town, aside from fishing classes
Twoftmama's Extended Movie Times is also a godsend. I don't even remember what the previous movie times were, but I can now send my Sims more times to the theater.
velocitygrass's Add Any Lot Size - perfect for more options in placing lots.
And various fixes for makeup and clothes, like unstenciled or denecklaced versions. Add to this a metric ton of sliders as well.
