Default How to make objects show in Map View?
So this is a general question.. what makes a mesh show up on map view? is it a set of images? a MLOD? or a flag in the object?

I'd like to build a world, a better world.
Guess I'll start here...

You know ashillion, maybe you have more luck with this question on MATY.

Awesomemod uses/manipulates map tags, maybe J.M. Pescado can answer your question?

Although objects showing in mapview could be something totally different, I don't think anybody tryed to make new world objects yet.

Did not before but were *updated* so they would.

so it's not a "new object" thing...

I may try MATY, but i have no desire to use the awesomemod or related code/mods.
As a CAW user i need my game as lite on mods as can be and am far more interested in mods like the new "magic mod" than in all the "awesome-ness". lol.

There's more than just AwesomeMod on MATY.

Have you tried asking the creator of those objects how they did it?

I've used Workshop. I cloned an object that is visible from MapView (like the the big statue that is in Sunset Valley's square), imported my meshes, and finally changed the footprint so the roof pieces use one single tile. If you want more info, just ask ^-^
