[QUOTE=hotaru801]And why is there only one apartment in each high rise? That is beyond annoying. The others can be properly blacked out while playing a certain family... I liked sims 2 apartment style living better.
And sometimes moving around the tiny high rise apartment makes me want to pull my hair out. QUOTE]

Oh, those damn apartments! I also hate them, and I'd prefer those like in TS2. No, seriously, I don't understand why is there only 1 playable apartment per block, and why can't I visit my neighbours like in TS2 - moreover that i can even visit other residential lots now in TS3. Why can't I have just a little 5-storey block with 4 or 5 apartments, each of which can be made active? I don't think it was so difficult for EA to do this.

So, I don't play apartments, just residential lots.

Bridgeport is a realistic big city, reminds me of NY (never been there, though, just saw in movies). However, I don't feel like playing there. I've stolen a vampire from there for my custom world, explored it a bit, but I don't want to play there. I prefer more European-like towns (and not so huge, though not really small ones)

However, vampires, celebs, bars and clubs are cool, I have no complaints (other than closing times).

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned yet, and I know it's been forever since this has been mentioned (any of the items) but:

Every freaking time my Sim steps out of the elevator, they fall down! Even if they don't have the clumsy trait or anything! They just fall down, and dramatically pull themselves out.

I HATE how I talk to a celebrity to get their autograph. Then I automatically get a star for getting one. WTF? I mean, I can understand getting a star for being BFFs with a 5-star celeb or something. Why are the paparazzi following my one-star celeb anyway? Go star the 4-5 Stared ones. I also hate how you can't LOOSE a star. I wish you could for scandals or if you haven't done anything to improve your popularity. Or if Mommy is a celebrity, I'm a celebrity. Nobody knows celebrity's kids unless they're stalkers or the kids are going into the show business. I had a kid, okay? His mommy was a 5-star actress who retired to have babies. Instant 3-star celeb when he became a child, and he kept getting scandals! "Rumors are going around that Tom digs through the trash" or "Word's going around that Tom peed his pants." Seriously? He's a CHILD-aged Sim. Why is HE getting all the scandals and not his mom, whom I made her have him out of wedlock and ALWAYS partying, fighting and just flat out insane. It's too easy to become a celeb!

I. Hate. The. Stupid. Celebrity. Opportunities. THEY RING ALL THE FUCKING TIME!

The Vampire Bar closes at 2 am? That's mid-afternoon for a vampire! I also hate how they let EVERYBODY into the damn bars (for me) but yet NOBODY IS THERE.

Why can't my Sim kids play the piano? It bugs me so much.

The parties SUCK. I've been invited to like, 50 cause I had a 5 star celebrity. The second I arrived, there was no food. The host took a bath, went to bed, and everybody stared at this guy playing the guitar and expecting tips.

What qualifies you as Rich in this game!? Everybody I visit is rich! Even if they have like, NOTHING in their apartment!

You are a 1 or 2 Star celebrity. Don't get whiny at me if I want to greet you or ask for your autograph, you're not THAT popular. D: They get all "I don't wanna talk to you! You're not a high enough celebrity!"

What are these people protesting outside City Hall for? The posters have a Llama Xed out.

Why on EARTH did they combine half the crap? I can understand the fancy restaurant, the business building and the journalism building smacked together cause they're similar, but HOW can you put a HUGE military base into City Hall? And WHY is the hospital on the outskirts of town?

I don't know why this always irks me, but why do the Sims AUTOMATICALLY have their phone number? D: Can't there be some sort of "Ask for #" interaction? What about text messaging? The people sit and text, similar to computer. "X sent you a text message! Response?"

Why are the apartments so damn small? I know they normally are in real life, but SERIOUSLY!? I need at LEAST A TWO bedroom apartment if my "Be-The-Next-Duggar-Family" Sim couple wants to fulfill their Life Dream thing of having at least 5 kids. The terrain isn't rout able, so I can't make many houses.

I love the vampires! But for some reason, I can't get one to bite me. I love the fact that they aren't always randomly hissing at people like in the Sims 2.

Know what would be awesome? If my Sim stopped taking Taxis to go across the street or down the block. Get yo fat ass up and walk there! ><

I was making my Celeb Sim go to work. Went to mess around with his wife, making her do her household chores (she was a housewife). Checked up on him and he's still in his seat, signing autographs and taking pictures. I wanted to wall them all off and murder them.

If the house is worth more than 100,000 you're considered as rich. It doesn't matter whether this value comes from outdoor plants, building stuff or objects. Your family's cash, on the other hand, does not count. So place a Sim worth a million in a starter hut and the others will gossip that he/she is broke. I guess that's sort of realistic

Yes, a little disappointed here too. There's far less stuff than in the TS2 and TS1 versions. I thought the instruments and other new stuff would make up for it, but it doesn't, I still mourn my bowlings and restaurants.

Definitely agree witht this!

I agree with the bits in bold. That pretty much covers it

They did put more work into the sims 2, but it's just the little things they could've changed to make it more interesting in the sims 3.

Well I finally uninstalled Nightlife - I am just so fed up with the hassle it entails. And I don't miss it!

Putting a Sims 2 expansion in your Sims 3 game must have really been a real hassle.

I'm kinda disappointed with late night, (I dont play bridgeport ever/never enable celeb or paparazzi and I never put elevators in my buildings...) other then that.. I was just thinking that they could have given us alot more "late night" type items. For example.. how cool would it be to have some kinda of gambling feature like casinos, with slot machines and card tables, more glitzy and flashy las vegas like decor/signs etc. At least then poor sims have the chance to win big and finally buy their dream home or something.. plus it would make it so much fun if you were able to participate in the betting like how much you want to bet/what card game you want to play etc.... sigh.

You know, they could have. But instead, they chose to give us more "club types" with fancy names but literately quite the same with slight differences in opening/closing hours, dress codes, and not sure what else. And they hope we users are overwhelmed with those and too happy to notice the difference.

For me, I am overwhelmed, and pissed. At least they let sims carry drinks around the lot and can put drink on the pee pot while peeing (for men) and putting drink on the side of the hot tub.

But you are absolutely right, they needed more interactions. Instead of gambling, which they think is too R rated, they can give us something else. But seriously, bikini, hot tub, bars, dancing clubs, woohoo ... those aren't exactly PG 13 either.

Hey, I don't mind putting "Open for Business" to play with Bridgeport. Any tutorial on how to do that?
