Firstly I want to know if such a thing is possible, and secondly I want toknow oneof either two things, A how is it done, and if you don't know how it's done, B how would I go about figuring out how it could be done on my own, any help at all, even a point in the right direction would be helpful, thanks

I don't know if this would be interesting for you, but using Zerbu's ultimate careers mod you are able to build the careerbuildings yourself, make a home school for the children in twon in your own living room and there are different interactions to each of the careers. http://nraas.wikispaces.com/Zerbu's+Ultimate+Careers+Mod
It's quite a new way to play really, no more rabbitholes! But getting custom professions besides these regular ones, can be achieved here http://modthesims.info/browse.php?gs=2&f=229&showType=2

I hope this might give you some inspiration, I'll be subscribing the thread if you need some more information. Happy simming!

I don't see any professions in that link, it was to the career downloads. I'm aware of the mod it'sgood for some thingsn but not the project I had in mind. I'm curren tly in n the works of makingan extensivvvve andimmersive career, without ra bbbbbit holes, mostly, youm justgouinmm for an hour, always getting an opportunity that leads nyou onastoryline to advvvvance, I'm planning a few of these, would bbbbe much better if I coul d make these professions. With the mod you cant play a storyline you just do mindless tasks. (sorry for weird things withthe text I'm on my laptop and the keyboard is fucked)

I see, you mean professions like those of Showtime EP (among others, I guess).

I did a custom skill based career (self employed if you like that definition more),
based on and requiring NRaas_Careers*, not sure if that can help you or give
you inspiration. One thing is sure, my mod is not a good case study because
the code is not neat at all and, for example, I didn't leave an unhashed stbl
as reference to translate/modify/add career related strings.

I'm not sure if it's more incomprehensible my english writing or yours
(at least you got a good excuse) :P

If you would like to make custom professions, it is possible. Nraas 'Homemaker' is a profession, you could take a look at that with S3PE to see how it was done. (As Arsil suggested, it is helpful to look at existing mods)

If you need some basic tips on how career modding works, I recommend the tutorials here: https://nraas.wikispaces.com/Careers+Tutorial and here: http://simswiki.info/wiki.php?title...g_for_Beginners.

Good luck. :-)
