MP - It's too bad about the glass roof leaking because it looks fantastic. I hope you find a workaround for the weather problem. The whole place is coming together so well. And oh my, your Lucky Palms rebuilds look fabulous. Modern, but with a throwback art deco feel. You've got some totally gorgeous cc, by the way. Thanks for sharing the pix.

@pureheart
Thanks for the compliment. I'm glad you like my buildings/decorating. It is Gingerxyz's buildings roof that is leaking though....so yeah I hope they find a solution for that too.

MurderPrincess - Well, open my eyes! I must have needed more coffee before reading/posting yesterday.Sorry 'bout that.

Gingerxyz - That glass roof still looks awesome. And I do hope you find a solution to the weather problem.

Picked back up working on a High School I started a while back.
These large scale builds take forever to finish and decorate.

Exterior Front

1st Floor

2nd floor is far from finished and the 3rd isn't even started, but I will get there...

Ohh how I love when I am done with landscaping...
I find it to be the most difficult part of a build.

@gingerxyz Could you put down ceiling or floor tiles to close off the building and then drop glass floor rugs on top of it?

Hmm. I thought about that but the only thing I have along those lines are the ITF ones, and they'd be way too visible. Do you know of CC ones that wouldn't stick out as much?

I have some CC ones in my game that are seamless if I'm not mistaken. I'll fire up the game after work and let you know what they're called. :-)

edit: I can't seem to find the exact link for the ones I have, but this is a similar creation that looks about the same, and made by the same person. (The ones I have were, as far as I can tell, made by Inge and modified by Angela)

This is more or less the best I can do. Thank God modern architecture can be so simple.

A Baroque-like palace (I say that loosely, architectural history is not my expertise!) I have been building inspired heavily by a creation by Ruby's Home Design.

♫ Keeping this here until EA gives us a proper playable woodwind/brass instrument ♫
For now, though, my decorative Bassoon conversion for TS4. =)

Hope this necro is okay; loving all the pics here - so much talent!

I've loaded up the Mont. St. Michel world for a time period in my game that might set some people on edge; sorry for that in advance. Working on a story so the setting is important (I love period dramas, especially wartime period dramas - Un Village Francais is a major favorite, especially now that the Allies are winning).

This Chateau I'm working on is really in the town of Beaumont-le-Roger but the location in the game is fine for me. The shots are edited kind of to look like old pictures of the place.

Front

Back of the chateau

I think I may have made it too small, in reality - the interior is a bit wonky, as I am not able to find any decent interior shots of the chateau from the 1930s-40s. I'm still working on it; I think I've been at this perhaps an entire month now.

I took a spin at mediterranean style. I'm so happy with it that I'm reviving a six month old thread.

(Don't mind the ice cream truck, he's just visiting.)

EDIT: This house is now uploaded :}

Very lovely builds and decor styles on this thread! <3

I love building in my game as well. Mostly I prefer making cozy cottages, thus the vast amounts of flowers and landscaping to give a homey feel to the place
Also, sorry for the annoying names of the houses I put on there. These are the most recent pics I have of them lol

Idk why I'm so obsessed with different types of mansion making, but I've started an adobe/southwestern mansion.

We really should have a thread thats just for interior decorating. Thats mostly what I focus on in my houses. I suck at exteriors.....well it takes me to long to get them right.

Struggling with losing faith, I just post this pics as a self-motivation to keep going on, putting together this neighborhood that will never be complete and hence, such a hopeless work. Globally such a mess, but at least it has some details that I like.

That looks really cool! Is it Japan?

I might suggest one thing- using mid-rise deco buildings so you don't need to build so much!

I think that Cities Skylines has a decent set of buildings that they pulled from Cities in Motion that can work well converted to TS3.
