I actually found a cloning option in SimEnhancer here. It says in the help file that you can use it for instance to share them or put them into another hood - it says nothing in particular about corruption, but since the guy made a whole program to change almost everything you can about a sim, I doubt he'd advice people to destroy their hoods.

I still need to figure out how it works, but I'd like to make one of these clones and have a look at it in SimPE - can somebody tell me if there's a way to tell if it carries anything "dangerous"?
