So I just played Pleasantville and messed up Mortimer Goth's life. I made him marry my own created sim (which is a witch-werewolf-vampire btw hehe), made him buy some businesses and a small vacation house and after that, I killed him using his own wife's
"inflammo" spell... Instantly the evil wife inherited all his money, however I noticed an old sim was playing chess downstairs..and it was GUNTHER GOTH! :O I saw him once before killing Mortimer but as a ghost, and right after Mortimer died, he's back...he's just back, chilling in my living room, playing chess...

I did NOT resurrect any sim through a witch spell or a genie lamp...I don't even have a resurrect-o-nomitron. I admit though I used the boolprop cheat once to drag Mortimer's DR with my sim (so that she will inherit all his money and not Cassandra)..however I immediately disabled it because I know how it can mess up the game. But still, I can't think of any reason for this to happen. I assume this is a serious bug. What should I do now? :O

Debug Mode cannot mess up the game - it's actions you take while in Debug Mode that mess up the game.

As for your problem: no idea but it does sound like a glitch. You might check the tombstone is still there. It might just be that the game has called up an instance of the sim as a 'visitor' to the lot and forgotten to read the bit about him being dead (happens).

Gunther's tombstone is no longer in Mortimer's house. I checked Cassandra's family tree and it is actually him, alive. :O There is actually a new memory of Cassandra that says Gunther just got married. It appears he is a townie but always visits the Goth household.


I don't know if I had to make another thread for this, but days after seeing Gunther, BELLA GOTH came back from nowehere. :O :O :O I was playing the Pleasant household when Don Lothario visited me with Bella Goth. :O I don't know why dead/missing persons keep on appearing in my game. Looks like my game is seriously bugged.

mmm yeah - that's not good. Might be the neighbourhood though rather than the whole game.

@ultimatesimcreature08 2 things come to mind.

1. Some one is playing your game and resurrecting them.

2. You have a very bad problem either with a mod or your hood is corrupt and removing "I am dead" tokens from these sims.

Do you have anyone else living with you? What I would do is just kill him again.

There might be one other possibility:: some other player resurrecting Gunther at a time you were away.
Though if no one else had access to your game, then it is a problem.

Bella Goth; my understanding is that she is not really dead.

Bella Goth is half dead and if you teleport her to any house and then leave the lot and go back in she will fade away and the "I am dead" token will be applied and she will be fully dead then.

I think it sounds like fun

so follow these steps?
1. Teleport Bella Goth to some lot
2. Save and exit lot
3. Re-enter lot

or is it these steps?
1. Teleport Bella Goth to some lot
2. Exit lot without saving
3. Re-enter lot

You need to save on exiting the lot and then go right back in.
