Default Sims get 20k OR share in fortune when moving out
I have been using MATY's No20khandout for a while, but I get annoyed when poor sims get stuck with 5k and can't even buy a house.
Is there a mod somewhere that will let sims get 20k if their family has below a certain amount of money and a percentage if they are above that?

If not, can someone please consider making that? Or, failing that, help me make it?

That is the normal game that does that for you, if you move out Cassandra Goth she takes with her well over 40k and all other will get 20k regardless of how low the family has.

Take out that mod and delete the cache files and you should be good to go.

Really?? I thought it was 20k regardless. Hmmm... I thought for sure my legacy sim would get more than 20k when they moved out. I'll test it again then.
Thanks!

That isn't how it worked in my game. Cassandra moved out two different times and only got 20K. And when Dina (Caliente) Goth moved out after she got divorced, she only got 20K.

Ok so I got it half wrong, moving a sim to the bin they only get 20k no mater how much the family has but move a rich sim in to another house hold by the move in option brings around 10% over with them.

Its been a very long time since I have moved out a sim to the bin from a rich family and it looks like no mater how much the family has they one get 20k.
Normally my rich sims either get married or get ask to move in and that is when they get the 10% amount from the rich family.

Yeah, I wanted them to get a minimum of 20k but the possibility of more if their family could afford it.

The only way I know to do that is to use Monique's computer and open up a bank account and place money for them in there. They still only move with 20K in hand, but they do keep their bank accounts and it can be accessed once they are moved in from Monique's computer. Another method which is mod free is to simply load up their inventory, people have been doing that for years.

My sims mostly tend to be poor, the poorest on no 20K handout could not even afford a $61 dollar room at my grotty hostel, so 5K sounds a lot to me. I actually built and uploaded some very tiny houses all at 5K and slightly under for sims leaving with just that amount.

That's why I built them very cheap apartments, so even my poorest ones have somewhere to live in.

But have you considered simply using the familyfunds cheat with those which don't have enough for your taste?
Or remove the no20khandout mod and stuff their inventory with things. One item I personally love is d_dgjdhh's 10k Treasury Control Certificates and it would make it easy for you to calculate their part of the home funds if they are rich.
