Default A non-skin skin?
I discovered a barista sim in my town that I thought looked really awesome. Here she is! She looks like a china doll and is perfectly white.

I accidentally installed some Sims3Packs that brought along their own non-default skins, so I thought she must have one of those.

Imagine my chagrin when I discovered that she's a glitch. She appears to have no skin at all, neither color nor image. She doesn't even seem to have the default skin that I use. I thought missing skins were black, not white.

So, I'm curious -- would it be possible to make this a real non-default skin? I did some searching on pure white skins, and the consensus appeared to be that you couldn't do them because they look horrible. But to my eyes, this looks really cool for a fantasy sim.

I have used Skininator to do very basic changes to CmarNYC's metalman skintones. I can imagine a skin with just no shading on it anywhere -- a blank. Does this make sense?

Edit for talking about the wrong version of Sims - oops.

I've seen white skins that look very good, so I assume you want to eliminate the skin details? You should be able to do that by using plain white textures for the skin along with a white or white-to-black color ramp. It's worth a try.

Well, what do you know? I just made my first custom skin!

This has got to be at the top of the list for the lamest CC ever created, but I love it, and I'm ridiculously proud of myself. Just a blank white 1024x1024 image for both light and dark skin file, and it looks just like the image above. Attached it to the EA black/white color ramp, and Bob's your uncle. My only problem was that I'd never heard of the .dds image format, I had to find an app that worked with it, and then I saved my first file with the wrong DXT setting.

I wonder if anyone else would be interested in a non-default skin that looks, to my eyes, like a porcelain doll. When you add makeup, it adds to the effect.

I think it's an interesting and different effect, and that people would be interested in it!
