This is so great, thank you! I still play my ZX to this very day, and I have to say that I still have a lot of respect for the classic games! Nostalgia rules! It's going to be fun watching my simmies using one in the game.

This is totally awesome. Whenever I first had a sim use it, I was impressed by how well done it was. It is far better than the Commodore 64 for the Sims 2.

An error has occurred. Unimplemented trap.

Wow! Thanks Numenor! You know something, you gave me an idea.

What about antiques? Maybe someday you'll feel like creating "Collectibles" for sims? :D

Thanks for all your hard work!

I forgot to comment on this way back! Man, this brings back memories. I didn't own one of these but a friend had a comp of similar vintage and I played Munsters on that. This gizmo is sure attractive-- I put one in a dorm room and everybody and their uncle stopped what they were doing and packed in the room to see. Note to self- make sim lock door before using this.

Ok, everything you do rocks, and I wouldn't dream of mentioning the C-64, of course there were the Trash-80's.......

Anyway, could I somehow rename this the Timex-Sinclair 1000, as that's the one I bought in '82, we couldn't buy a ZX-81 in the States. :}

P.S. Judging from the other replies, I just realized, we are all a bunch of OLD geeks & | nerds, who all got talked into playing with another OLD geek's, ie Will Wright, dolls. <wanders off muttering to self, in 8086 MASM cause he can't seem to lean simlish.>

Renaming an object is simple, using SimPE (just open the package with SimPE, select the CTSS file, i.e. the catalog description, and change the name at will).
However, the Timex-Sinclair 1000 looked like a Sinclair ZX81, thus different from the ZX Spectrum: are you sure you want to rename it?

And yes, I'm and old geek, too

Funny where technology went. I'm pretty sure Numenor wasn't aware when he was coding some Basic on that new Sinclair over 25 years ago that he would at some point in his life possess a computer with so much processing power that he would recreate the Sinclair within a simulation.

This is such a fantastic download, I only found this now after going to update my CEP
Thank you so much for your hard work, I'm sure that my plethora of vintage and older-than-thou sims will enjoy this. (Because MacBooks are nice, but error screens are fun, too! XD).
