This user has the following games installed:

Sims 3, World Adventures, Ambitions, Late Night, Pets, Showtime, Supernatural, University Life, Island Paradise, Into the Future
Default Dropbox porting?
Is it possible to port 1 saved game on 1 computer to another via dropbox or a similar cloud storage device?

Don't see why not - dropbox should provide enough space for larger save files/folders and with a fast internet connection, there should not be any issues. Actually, it's a great idea if you want to share with several people at the same time.
(A potential drawback would be installed content, EPs, CC or mods if the setup on the second computer is not the same... May or may not cause issues depending on what you had installed. Still, it should be fine.)

On a similar tack, what files would 1 copy?

In My Documents>Electronic Arts>The Sims 3>Saves, there should be a.folder named how you called your save + another one ending in .backup. Copy the first folder, the backup one can be ignored. If you are on an earlier patch, same principle applies, but they are single files.rather than folders. Hope that helps, but feel free to ask.again
