This user has the following games installed:

Sims 3
Default Mods will not work
I read and reread all of the instructions very closely but mods are still not working. I have zipped everything before placing it into the documents/electronicarts/thesims3 file. I have also deleted all of the cache files from documents/electronicarts/thesims3. Also I'm using patch version 1.4.6.00002. What am I doing wrong?

Patch your game, first of all. 1.4.6 is a lower patch than 1.12.something, which is the minimum patch required to use the Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Mods\Packages setup. 4 is lower than 12. Current patch is 1.67 so you're very far behind. See: Game Help:TS3 Patchingwiki
