Sorry for my grammar it's my weak point.

First thing is first I should mention the first time I played Sims 3 is all the way back when it was first released. As far back as in the first expansion was not thought of yet. Heck last time I played you could still kick up the tomb stone of Life and Death amd whoo hoo with the grimmy after offing several neighbors... ... Seriously. It was fun I could cheat, pop out babies at the speed of nearly everyone in the town related to me, and break the maids path finding functions; Key word WAS. Even the town map feels like it has changed.

1st question: Where have all the fun cheats gone? What can you still do I find myself scratching my head wondering what to do in the game. Nor can I speed up the pregnancy anymore. Or is it just me and I have gone senile?

2nd question: I never had this problem before. And I have followed through all the idiot guides turned custom content on and off and spun around three times and done the hokey pokey but how do you get downloaded custom content to show up. If it's from the Sims store it shows, but anything else NOPE... Gone from maybe being an idiot to old which might not be grasping the concepts of EA to avoid fun in their games.

3rd Question: Does anyone know how to fix the glitch with two house boats that decide to make baby house boats and not separate. Only moving out seems to fix this problem.

Bonus 4th: Back in the day when Sims started ghosts where fun to play. They weren't all floaty with needless animation. Does anyone know of a way to at least kill the none essential effects because seriously it's annoying to this old hag.

Hm, you used mods in the olden days, didn't you? Because the number of cheats has rather increased and not decreased over time and what you describe sounds like custom cheats. AwesomeMod or IndieStone?
Back then installing mods and cc as package files was also different. The mods folders needed to be inside the application folder and you had to replace some game files, if I recall correctly. That#s probably what you remember and it doesn't work properly anymore.

As for 2 apparently going around things have changed. Of course in fashion of everything; nothing happened. Looks like I am going to end up with a very plain game no mods, no CC. What ever happened to the wham bam throw it in the mods folder and be done ma'am.... Guess in the end that does make it easier NOT to break my game some how.

As for 3. The game glitches a lot and houseboats get stuck together. Would be fine if I got double the property but sadly nope just a lot of puddles and crying SIms. XD

Actually, you just throw your downloaded CC (in package form) into the Packages -folder, which is inside the Mods -folder. It's no more complicated than that. Just download the Mods -folder from that link and put it in your Sims 3 game folder, the one that has the saved games, library, dowloads, etc. And just remember to delete the cache files (CasPartCache, compositorCache, scriptCache, simCompositorCache)... http://simswiki.info/wiki.php%3Ftit...ete_Cache_Files ...whenever you add or remove something.

As for those houseboats... that has never happened to me, so unfortunately I have no advice for it. Sorry.
