Well, @pizza, I use a 8-way switch box currently. I also would keep the different manufacturers' machines on separate power strips, only switching out when needed.
To clarify, machines made by Sega like the Genesis, 32x, Saturn and Dreamcast are on a completely different power strip from the XBOXs which are Microsoft, just as The NES, SNES, N64, GCN, WII and WIIU by Nintendo is on one and the PlayStations are on another.
Only one manufacturer's line can be connected to the wall, lest I trip the circuit or catch fire. Any more and it would require a $3000 upgrade in electrical engineering.
I actually would daisy-chain the switchboard (I.E. Connect the video configurations of each switchboard to a main one that allows for use with a master board that leads to a specific machine)
I've been in AV class for the majority of high school, so hardware and software mod installations have become my specialty. I joined MTS when I was 17 years old and back then, I was fixing the closed circuit TV network on school campus.

(P.S. I'm about 5' (150cm) in height and easily scared)
