^That, my friend, is how you commit eye rape. Now if you'll excuse me, I shall be piercing my corneas with drillbits.

@BloodyScholastic: That is the worst, and the most unbelievable, way to cause Eye Scream I know.

I wonder what happens when you contaminate your body with sweets after getting diabetes, though, since my eyes had already been afflicted a few pages back...

Thank-you for the dartboards Cameranutz! I am so glad I risked the eye-rapage in this thread just so I could find them.

Welp... here's the useful, and borderline useful stuff, with a quick look. Some of the items would need to be slightly modded, or have the mesh edited before they can actually be useful, like the futon. The counters and the shelf have a candy stencil on them, and would look perfectly fine without it. The only item I've seen without a stencil, so far, is the window which looks good in modern homes.
Most of it can be thrown in a corner, or to give a shop or food corner some life and pizzaz, but it's nothing you want to use all at one time. It's best used sparsely. I'd say, it's not a must have, and it is useful, but until mods come out, only get it if you MUST HAVE IT! My favorite items are the lounge chair, the table, the bar stool and the window - I'll use them everywhere! The shop decor is a close second.

I never really care much for the clothing. Of course there a few useful things (like the red gown), but we've seen townies wondering around in store stuff... who knows what they'll leave the house in with this one.

ummm.... I want those candy-themed playground equipment... those made me rethink the usefulness of this SP... sweets themed hangout/party venue specifically for children.

They should have given some (or all) of the sweets-themed clothes to the kids in this sp... there would have been a bonanza of adorable kidswear/costumes from this kind of theme (adorable banana or sundae toddlers). Instead there's an ice-cream slut costume to go with the stalker ice-cream truck :P

would a minor mod that set's the clothes to 'not valid for random' be enough to prevent townies with sweet treats theme from appearing?

And now I shall start pouring buckets of eye bleach. As well as looking to get that lobotomy. As I do not think there is a big enough bottle to forget this eye rape.

Yes, a mod like that would be enough to prevent townies from looking like they just step out of a hardcore porno, yes.

I'm mu opinion, they should have given out more items without stencils, or just took away some of the extra frilly extras. Like, some of the items are really good and useful without the need for them to be excessively themed, but still retain the theme.

And Kiwi Tea, if you ever read this, I can't help but want to use some of them in Port Piston. That lounge chair kinda of looks like a conveyor belt. :p

And let me be the first to say it - it is VERY hard to come by a good single tile table that isn't CC, so I'm happy to have another.

Lol! I am NOT getting this. Do NOT use it in Port Piston lots. :P

It's bad enough trying to stop myself using Lunar Lakes content just to have those awesome pipes.

matrix54: Those items in the picture, are they the only ones? that's not many if yes.
Still not going buy it but I will buy the diesel one. The only thing interesting in this pack are some of the clothes and the shop decor but the rest, horrible. It's just so bad and ugly. I hope this is the last Katy Perry themed sp/ep there is.

Did anyone buy this and decide it was alright? I don't think I want any of this in my game but I heard it was released today.

^There's quite a bit to nibble on this EP. What I showed was a little over half of the item, I think. Everything is shown at simsvip.com. There's a little over 90 things total in the pack, compared to the standard 40-50 ish.

I was playing around with it, and some of it is alright. Most of it needs modding beyond repair. May [insert religious figure here] help this stuff pack. Here's a tacky, yet modern, room I made with just the SP and Base game with some of the toned down items. I bet it's hard to tell the stuff is from Sweet Treats.

I don't know if anyone here watches "Lazy Game Reviews" or LGR on youtube, but he does honest, detailed and accurate reviews of games - Sims being his speciality.
His Katy Perry review is a must-watch for anyone considering buying the stuff pack.
Here's the link. Full review coming soon

I don't even want to know what they were thinking with that guitar. The base is kinda cool and retro. And then the instrument itself... Looks like a bigfoot chewed a guitar.

Honestly, it wouldn't be as bad if EA removed stencils from a lot of the objects - then it'd just be a few heavily themed item with bunch of stuff you can use everywhere else. Of course, you'll see Katy Perry dressed Sims wondering around town, but a mod can, hopefully, fix that.

I have to wonder if some of these items were slated for a different type of release, and just got Perry-fied when they brought her on board.

On the Facebook page, whenever a new pack comes out, there is usually a flurry of pics, "OMG CAN'T WAIT!" posts, but there doesn't seem to be nearly as many for this pack. And that's even with Target selling the pack for $18, well below the original price. A friend of mine bought it, and their game is usually dark and gothic, vampires and the like. She had her sims check out the arcade, and boy, did they look out of place there! It was like the circus had come to town, and not the cool, scarey, don't-get-on-the-merry-go-round type. She recolored the Cookie Hat black and white, and it looked like some huge bird had shat on her sim's head.

I'm just curious how the sales figures look for this stuff pack.

hooray for shameless self-promotions.

yawn. come up with something better and i might think about it, EA. kids arent the only people who play, and quite frankly id feel weird about having all this babyish stuff without a herbert sim as well.
