Default Texture goes bad outside CAS
So I'm working on new body hair for the male Sims, and I'm coming across this hurdle:

In CAS everything looks fine and dandy, as you can see:

And then when I go in-game it looks like this:

I have both Texture detail on High and Sim Detail on Very High.
After some testing I've found that EA's own hair textures suffer from this degradation as well (but it's much less obvious).

Any thoughts, own experiences, workarounds?

Is this for peronal use or for upload?
If this is just for yourself you can try to increase the texture filesize and kill the mipmaps to see if that makes a diffrence.
And check if the correct dds format is used(extract the original and check)

This looks like pretty standard EA - all textures look better in CAS (or Photoshop) than they do ingame. Yours still looks exceedingly hairy, even with the reduced quality.

What I lack in decorum, I make up for with an absence of tact.

Yup, CAS has better settings
If your wondering if its the texture file then build a replacement package for a existing EA bodyhair and load your custom texture in it.

I did that, my textures are default replacements. Oh well, just how the game is, I suppose. At least my chest hair textures did come out nicely! Thanks for the replies! =D
