Yes... the pattern goes over the part it's suppose to. After that, I did what this explained. I selected choice none... and then went on with the other half like this told. I picked FG color fill and filled the bottom half with black. Then I saved it and closed the program. When I refreshed... it all went black. LOL! I'll keep on trying, though until I get it. Thanks so much.

Maybe you saved the swatch somewhere else.

I found it! Turns out the problem was that I didn't close and reopen GIMP. I just opened a new project, then closed the old one.

However, now I have three lavender swatches. *smiles*

I haven't figured out how to delete the extra two yet, because for some reason my computer won't let me.

I'm sure I will though.

Thanks for your help!

This worked for me. I don't remember where I learned it--somewhere non-sims-related--but it does the job:

When you export your bmp file, a small dialog box will come up with three buttons at the bottom: Help, Export and Cancel.

Don't click export yet!
Click "advanced options."
Then, under 24 bits, select R8 G8 B8.
Now click the export button.
Go to Body Shop and refresh the image. It should display normally.

I use the gimp, Blender and SimPE.

I play TS2 and TSM. I own TS3, but like TS2 better.

Current project: learn Sims 2 meshing
