Installing whole sims: I the sims won't show up in the game or in bodyshop after I install them!

Before I got Clean Installer,
installing sims was always a 50-50 chance,
because usually the bodyshop installer would give me an error.

So, I got clean installer,
and I click the package with the sim,
and I have all the boxes checked,
and I hit install,
and I leave the default button checked,
and it says it's okay.
And, just to be sure they'll show up,
I even save them again, and uncheck the default,
and browse for the saved sims folder,
and install it in there,
and it doesn't give me an error and it says
the installation was okay!
but then I hop into bodyshop, and I look
through the whole bin of sims,
and they aren't there!

what am I doing wrong?
Please help.
