My male sims can't ever get abducted, I've tried naturally about 20 times and tried with debug get abducted cheat. Even Vidcund Curious from Strangetown who ALWAYS, completely ALWAYS, ALWAYS gets abducted if he tries, didn't get abducted.
Why is that?

The cheat to get abducted broke with Freetime. The time I tried to cheat an abduction, I was never able to do it, no matter what I tried. The chance of abduction is pretty small, and statistical clusters can go on a long, long, long time. I have one sim who's been on the telescope pretty much every night of his adult life, which is extended by elixir, far more than 20 times, and even so I had to summon aliens twice before he got picked up.

If this is Vidcund in Strangetown as a main hood, that is scripted, so yes, if you sent him to get abducted during the time window of the script, that would be a problem in need of troubleshooting, which you can learn to do from the FAQ. Vidcund and the other Curious brothers do not have any bonus to getting abducted, except for that scripted abduction. A new copy of Strangetown with the scripted abduction intact would be the only way to test whether abduction is really blocked, unfortunately.
