Default Sims 3 Generations and CC content
I have alot of cc content and none of it shows up in the game since I downloaded the Generations expansion pack. My game has been updated to the most recent updated so Idk what is wrong. I deleted the cache files, the version tag file and the DCBACKup folder as directed by another website but its not working some of the content goes straight into the game and others I put in the mods folder under my resource folder but nothing works. Even the stuff I downloaded from the actually sims EA website with my points doesnt show up.... DOes this mean that my game is not all the way updated. I used a digital download for mac from gametree.... and when I went into the game I was automatically prompted to update the game.... I also have high loft stuff but no problems with that....

Hm, I am not a mac user, but on the pc, sometimes how I solve problems is to remove the sims folder from documents and let the game recreate this. Then add the items back into the various folders and reinstall using launcher. Back up everything before you do.

The stuff you buy on ea's site is available in your store history to re-download. All except the March Compilation set which they are having problems with. On the pc side, and I'm not sure since you have a mac and it may not be the same, but when you take the folder and move it to another location, the game makes a new one.

You will probably then start the game and it will all run super quickly.

The hard part then will be to put your CC back in the folder. Make copies of it all before messing around.

Then, If you put stuff back in the downloads folder that was in your first downloads folder it will show up in the launcher and want to be reinstalled.

You may indeed have cc that you installed (such as custom sims), that you deleted later, that are purely in your cache.

But if you work from copies then you can simply put the folder back if things go sour.
