Anyone else have the problem where the front of their Sim turns black?

Only have the No Intro mod and some custom content installed. Help anyone?

Thanks I hate the mosaic it's very intrusive it's not like the sims are actually doing anything behind it!

Just today I saw fires were invisible in my game, and now here's the fix. Thanks! And I don't see any sims with black fronts, unless they're singed.

I had trouble downloading this, and then I thought "Duh! Who knows how many people are trying to grab this at the same time?"

Thanks, it was worth the multiple attempts. It works great.

I'm relatively certain that it's not this mod.

I've read about reports of Sims turning black (since Night Life I believe), so my guess is it's either an unrelated bug or problematic CC. Unfortunately I can't say more than that since I never actually had this bug.

Thank you so much! I haven't played in a while and I was wondering why all my visual effects were gone (Fire, thought bubbles, lighting effects ect), this is why! I thought I would have to put up with it forever. <3

A probably dumb question...
Is it safe to assume that even though I don't have Generations, but I have patched my base game to 1.22 (along with the expansion packs), that I should get this instead of keeping my ODL stuff version?
Thanks in advance.

Catorix, as long as you have updated to the newest patch then no you do not need Generations. The only reason patching alone wouldn't work is if the mod altered a feature of a new EP. The patch was released May 31st, initially painful to find though.

It really wouldn't matter unless the 1.22 patch added new effects to the game, which I doubt it did. This is just a rewrite so that the new effects in Generations show up normally. If you do not have Generations installed, then you should not be missing any effects. However, installing this newer version will certainly not do any harm, and might fix an effect that was disabled without having Generations.

So yes, I would get this version.
